Foryears,Ihadexistedsafelybehindthescenesinpoliticsasafundraiser,asanorganizer,butinmyheart,Ialwayswantedtorun.Thesittingcongresswomanhadbeeninmydistrictsince1992.shehadneverlostarace,andnoonehadreallyevenrunagainstherinaDemocraticprimary.butinmymind,thiswasmywaytomakeadifference,todisruptthestatusquo.Thepolls,however,toldaverydifferentstory.mypollsterstoldmethatIwascrazytorun,thattherewasnowaythatIcouldwin.
