IfeltthatIwasdeeplyfascinatedbyitsoonafterIhadreadit.
Itwasatragedy:
Justasitsnamesuggested,everythingwasgonewiththewind,includingfamilies’touch,friends’support,sweethearts’gazeandyouthwithvigour.Thestoryremindsusofvaluingallwewerepossessing.Alifelastsforashorttimeandanythinginitlastsshorter.Wealwayslosesomethingunconsciouslyandthenfeelregretfulwhenweneedthemlater.
Charactersinthestoryweresovividasiftheyhadbeengoingtojumpoutofthestory,asiftheyhadbeenexistedinthereallifeatfirst.
“Landistheonlythingintheworldthatamountstoanything,for‘thistheonlythinginthisworldthatlasts,anddon’tyoubeforgettingit’thistheonlythingworthworkingfor,worthfightingfor——worthdyingfor.”SaidGerald,anIrishmanwholovedhissoilmorethanhisownlife,letusknowthatlifecanbebornoutofland.

ThisnovelgavemetoomuchtothinkaboutandIcannotfullyexpressmyselfinEnglish.Itistruethatreadinganoriginismorevividthanthetranslatedones.However,myEnglishlevellimitsmetounderstandtheoriginwellwithoutthetranslated.ButIwillworkhardinordertounderstandbetter.
Thenovelismytreasure,forever,becauseIfindmyselfinScarlettandfindtheworldIliveininsidethestory.

Thisisreallyakindofmovingstory.SomeonesaidthatthemostclassicsceneinthenovelwasthatwhenScarlettreturnedherruinedhome,holdingtheearthinherhand,shepromisedthatnomattertostealortorobshewouldneverallowherfamilytostarve.However,Iwouldrathertochosethis,themostbeautifulsentenceinthebook,tomorrowisanotherday.Whatiscalledlove,andwhatiscalledhate?
