本文分析了在现代多媒体教学手段的辅助下的商务英语教学的革新,从多媒体视角探讨了商务英语教学的新模式。

1TheteachingpresentsituationofbusinessEnglish
TheaimofbusinessEnglishistoadapttothelanguagerequirementsofthelifeintheworkplace,itcontentinvolvesallaspectsofthebusinessactivities.BusinessEnglishcoursesarenotsimplyhelpfulontheimprovementofstudents'Englishlevelandability,anditismoretoteachthestudentsawesternbusinessmanagementconcept,workpsychology,evenhowtodealwithforeigners,howtoworkwiththemandsomeworkingmethods,aswellastheirlivinghabits,toanextentthatitwasincludedintheconceptofculture.BusinessEnglish,asanimportantpartofhighereducation,itscharacteristicistocultivateappliedcompositetalents,anditaimstocultivatetalentswhoareinasolidgraspofbasicEnglishknowledge,andcanbecombinedwithbusinessbackground,competentinallkindsofenterprises,engagedinbusinesstranslation,service,managementandworkingtodevelopmorally,intellectuallyandphysically,theyareappliedspecialtalents.ItcanbeseenfromthebusinessEnglishteachingpurpose,itbelongstoakindofpracticalEnglish,itselfhasauniquepurposeandapplied.
However,withsuchaspecialteachingtarget,thedevelopmentofbusinessEnglishteachingisnotoptimistic.Inmanycollegesanduniversities,businessEnglishteachingandmanyEnglishmajorteachingareindistinguishable,evenwithnormalcollegeEnglishteachingitisalmostthesame.Onthefaculty,manycollegesanduniversitiestheteacherswhoteachingbusinessEnglisharegraduatedfromEnglishmajor,theydidn'tacceptthebusinessknowledgesystematically,especiallythetrainingandlearningofbusinessEnglishknowledge.BusinessEnglishteachersshouldnotonlyhaveagoodcommandofEnglish,butalsobusinessactivitiesorlines.So,intheteachingofbusinessEnglishcourses,theteachersoftenturnedtheclassroomintothetraditionalintensivereadingEnglishclass,theteacheristhecore,theyspendmostofthetimeteachingtheinterpretationofthecrudebusinessvocabularyandabstracttheoryofinternationaleconomyandtrade.Withoutthespecificbusinessbackground,thetheoryofbusinessandthevocabularyareabstract,overtimestudentsgraduallylostinterestinlearning,andtheybecomepassive,themonotonyofthetraditionalteachingmodemakesthepracticalteachingeffectofbusinessEnglishisverydifferentwiththeteachinggoal.
WhatismorethebusinessEnglishteachingisthesameascollegeEnglishteaching,andgivetheprioritytothestudent'swrittenexercises.Studentslearninginadullenvironment,donothavetheabilitytoapplyknowledgeofbusinessEnglish,morehavenochancetopracticewhattheyhavelearned.HowtogetridofthetraditionalEnglishteachingmode,letstudentsexperiencetheglamourofthebusinessEnglish,andthenimprovetheabilityofusingEnglishforbusinesscommunication.Comparedwiththetraditionalteachingmode,multimediateachinghastheincomparableadvantagesinmanyrespects,,ithastodowiththetraditionalteachingwaytobalanceeachother,complementeachother,anditplayanimportantroleinbusinessEnglishteaching,what'smoreithasmanyfunctionsthattraditionalteachingdoesnothave.Therefore,constructingthenew-stylebusinessEnglishteachingpatternsunderthemultimediaandinternetenvironmentisworthustoin-depthdiscussion.
2Thetraditionalteachingmethodandmultimediateachingmethod
Whatwecanseefromtraditionalforeignlanguageteachingtheoryisthelearnersshouldfirstmasterthelanguageforms(e.g.,grammar,wordformation,etc.),throughthelanguageformtounderstandthelanguagecontent,expressionthethoughts,andthenteachercutthetextintopiecesofvocabulary,sentencepatternsandgrammarpoints,buttheteachingemphasisstillontheinterpretationofthesewordsandphrases,sentencepatternsandgrammar.[1]IntraditionalEnglishteachingmodel,studentscangetasolidfoundation,butthiskindofteacher-centeredclassroommode,isbadforstudentstodevelopinnovativethinkingandpracticeabilityexercise,what'smoreitisdifficulttotestwhetherthestudentscanapplytheknowledgetopractice.Students'learninginitiativewaskilled,inthebusinessEnglishclassroom,thestudents'mainbodystatusismoredifficulttoget.IntraditionalEnglishteachinginclass,theteachermainlyreliesontheblackboardwritingandspeakingtolecturetostudents,theformissingle,boringanditislimitedandfull.SuchtraditionalteachingmodeisnotapplicabletobusinessEnglishclassroomwhich'saimistocultivatestudents'abilitytocommunicate,alsoisnotconducivetotheenthusiasmofthestudents.Alongwiththescienceandtechnologyunceasingprogress,thecontinuousdevelopmentoftimes,asingleandlimitedEnglishteachingmodeisgoingtobeabandonedbypeople,insteadofusingthenewteachingmodewithmodernmeansofmultimedia.
MultimediaEnglishexpressionismultimedia,itisanintegrationwhichincludesvideoimages,sound,graphicsandtextonthemulti-level,throughthecomputertomakemutualinduction.
Multimediatechnologymakesavarietyofinformationmediaobjectssynchronouscompositeintegration,thendealwiththembeforepresentation.InthebusinessEnglishclassroomthemultimedia'stakepartinmakesteachingandlearninghasmadegreatprogress.
3Theuniqueadvantagesofmultimediateachingmethod
Becauseofthemultimediahasfigure,words,soundandtexts,what'smoreithasthecharacteristicofmovingimages,whichhasmanycharacteristicsandfunctionfortheteachingprocessisparticularlyprecious,thesefunctionsareothermedia(suchasslideshow,projection,movies,audio,video,television,etc.)don'thaveordon'tcompletelyhave.Comparedwithtraditionalteaching,multimediateachingwillbevividlyportrayed,thecharacteristicsareobvious.Firstofall,themultimediateachinghasthecharacteristicsofthefigure,itcanbecombinedwithtextandsound,thesecanhelpstudentstohaveabreakinthevisualandauditoryconstraintsinlearning.InbusinessEnglishclass,thestudentscanmoreintuitivefeelthesimulatedbusinessworldwhichisbroughtbymultimediatechnology.Forexample,arealinternationalbusinesslisteningmaterial,freshbusinessenvironmentvideoreproduction,andsoon.Second,theuseofmultimediatechnologycangreatlyimprovetheefficiencyofclassroomteaching.Inawiderangeofteachersdonotneedtospendalotoftimeinblackboardwriting,thestudentscanbemoreeffectivetoidentifykeylearningpointsanddifficultpoints.Moreover,interactivemultimediateachingmakethestudentshavemoreparticipation,moreactivelearning,andbycreatingareflectionoftheenvironment,theycanformanewcognitive.Finally,theuseofmultimediatechnologycanmaketheabstractknowledgeandthetheoryofrepresentationalshown,maketheinvisiblebecomevisible.Throughthenetwork,theoutstandingteachingresourcescanrealizesharing.Now,manyworldfamousuniversitiessuchasHarvard,Yalehasmadesomehigh-qualitycurriculumtoshareintheInternet.
4ThemultimediaeffectstotheteachingofbusinessEnglish
ThefocusofthebusinessEnglishteachingcanbesummedupinlisten,say,read,write,translationfromseveralaspects.Andthegoalistoletstudentsbeabletounderstandtheinternationalbusinessculture,alsocanfreelycommunicatewithothersatthesametimeinlearningbusinessEnglishknowledge.InbusinessEnglishteachingclassroom,teacherscanusethemultimediatohelpteaching.Forexample,teacherscanletthestudentsdolisteningandspeakingpracticeaftertheinterpretationtothefoundationofthebusinessEnglishknowledge.
Especiallyintheoraltraining,theteachercanletstudentswatchrealcommercialmaterialstosimulateandstudy,inordertobettermobilizestudentsstudyenthusiasm.IntheuseofmultimediatechnologytocreateagoodbusinessEnglishcommunicationenvironment,throughlanguage,imageandsounddoeffectstothestudentsatthesametime,varioussensessuchasvision,hearing,makethemusetwosidesofbrainandfinallyproducea"immersive"feeling.Soundertheguidanceofteachers,studentscandoalargenumberofthesesimulationcommunicationpractice.Intheprocessofstudents'progress,theirabilitytothinkinEnglishdirectlyoftengetexercise,andthustheycanimprovetheirabilitytouseEnglishforcommunication
