WhenastronomersusingEarth-basedtelescopestostudyTRAPPIST–1,theynoticedthateveryonceinawhile,itbecameslightlydim(昏暗).Theydecidedthataplanetmustbepassinginfrontofthestar,blockingpartofthelight.Thisdimmingwouldcomeandgoastheplanetorbitedthestar,passingalternately(交替地)behindandinfrontofthestarregularly.
