Kipperwhizzedaroundthehouseandscreechedontothelawn.

Oneday,DadsaidtoMum,“Kipper'shairisgettingreallylongagain.It'stimehehadacut.”
“Oh,dear,”groanedmum.“Idon'tthinkIwanttoknowaboutthis.Askmetocleanacrocodile'steeth,orcutatiger'stoenails.Butdon'taskmetocutKipper'shair.”
MumhadbeendreadingcuttingKipper'shair,eversincethelasttimeshedidit.Thetroublewas,Kippermadeaterriblefuss.Hejustwouldn'tkeepstillwhenMumshampooedhishair.Andhecried,becauseshegotalittledropofshampooinhiseye.Butthatwasnothing,comparedtothetroubleshehadwhenshetriedtogivehimthehaircut.HewiggledandjiggledandsquirmedandfidgetedsothatMumwascrosswithhim.Thenassoonashedidsitstill,Mummadealittlenickonhisearwiththescissors.Andafterthat,Kippermadeabiggerfussthanever.

AssoonasMumhadgone.DadtookKipperuptothebathroom.Hestartedcombinghishair.
