Tonight,afterabreakthroughyearforAmerica,oureconomyisgrowingandcreatingjobsatthefastestpacesince1999.?
Ourunemploymentrateisnowlowerthanitwasbeforethefinancialcrisis.?
Moreofourkidsaregraduatingthaneverbefore;moreofourpeopleareinsuredthaneverbefore;weareasfreefromthegripofforeignoilaswe’vebeeninalmost30years.
Tonight,forthefirsttimesince9/11,ourcombatmissioninAfghanistanisover.?
Sixyearsago,nearly180,000AmericantroopsservedinIraqandAfghanistan.?
Today,fewerthan15,000remain.?
Andwesalutethecourageandsacrificeofeverymanandwomaninthis9/11Generationwhohasservedtokeepussafe.?
Wearehumbledandgratefulforyourservice.
America,forallthatwe’veendured;forallthegritandhardworkrequiredtocomeback;forallthetasksthatlieahead,knowthis:
