Inadditiontothewebsite,Amitalsowantedtoexpandtheideaofsharingstories.Soheaskedhisfriendsandclassmatestodonatebookstodistributetolocalhospitals.Hehopedtocollectperhaps1,000,butinjusttwoweeks,hereceivedmorethan2,300donations.
“Therewasanabsoluteconnectionbetweenthewebsiteandbooks,”Amitsaid.“Butbooksaresomethingthatcanreallymakeadifferencetosomeonewhoisinthehospitalandcan’tgotoschool.”
