MusicandDanceAcademyisasecondaryschoolofWeinanNormalUniversity,whichwasestablishedonthebasisoftheoriginalmusicmajorofArtsDepartmentinFebruary2012.AndtheAcademyisconstructedtomeetthedevelopmentneedsofschoolandthepresentsituationofmusicanddancemajor.TheestablishmentoftheMusicandDanceAcademyhasprovidednewopportunitiestopromotethedevelopmentofthesubjectslikemusicanddance,toraisetheresearchqualityandtoensureeducationqualityofteaching.
Sinceenrollmentbeganin1999,theMusicandDanceAcademyhasdevelopedintoaschoolconsistoftwomaindepartments,whichareDepartmentofmusicandDepartmentofdance.Now,therearefourundergraduatemajors,whicharemusicology,musicperformance,danceanddanceperformance,andaprofessionalmajorcalledmusiceducation.TheMusicandDanceAcademyhasbeenaccreditedtoawardaBachelorofArtsdegree.Also,therearerichexperiencesofschoolrunningandstrongfacultyineducation.Thereare7teachinglaboratory,whicharedigitalmusiclaboratory,digitalmusicrecordingstudio,musichallanddancestudio.Atthesametime,threeteachingpracticebasesandfourstagepracticebaseshavebeenestablished.Thereare1053full-timecollegestudentsinschoolwhoarecomefrom15provincesandautonomousregionsofthecountry.Thereare58in-servicestaff,51full-timefacultymembersincluding6professorsandassociateprofessorsand26instructors,16ofwhichhavemaster’sdegreeand12ofwhichismaster’sdegreeinreading.Therearetworesearchinstituteswhicharelocaldramaresearchcenterofshaanxiprovinceandshaanxilocalartinstitute.Intherecentthreeyears,teachersofouracademyhavetookchargeofmorethan20provincialscientificresearchproject,publishedmorethan200scientificpapers,andanumberofpublishedbooksandtextbooks.Theteachersandstudentshavewonmorethan300collectiveandindividualawardsinnational,provincialandschoolactivitiesandallkindsofprofessionalcompetition,morethanfiftypercentofwhichareawardsandhonorsatorabovetheprovinciallevel.
InthedevelopmentprocessofMusicandDanceAcademy,acharacteristicofgivingprioritytonormaleducationandtraininginmoredirectionhasgraduallyformed.Thecollegestudents’arttroupeestablishedin2011,whichisaffiliatedtoMusicandDanceAcademy,hasexploredanewroadforartteachingpractice.DuringtheSpringFestivalin2012,ourcollegestudents’arttroupewasinvitedtoafriendlyexchangevisittoIreland,UK,andourperformanceachievedacompletesuccessandwaswidelypraised.InApril2012,weheldtwosonganddanceperformances,whicharecalledspringofWNUandspringofWeinan.Theperformancesreceivedwarmpraiseandwerefullyaffirmed.InJuly2012,wewenttoYushuTibetanautonomousprefectureinQinghaitoparticipateinsympathyperformance.TheYushucommitteeofthestategaveushighpraiseandestablishedfriendlyrelationswiththeschool.Theschoolalsoinsistsoncampusdramaactivitiesfortenyearsandreceivesremarkableachievements;wehavewon27itemsandmorethan40collectiveandindividualawardsinthreesessionsofshaanxicampustheaterfestival.ThethreeACTSdrama“TrialsandHardships”,whichwaswroteandplayedbyteachersandstudents,wererecommendedfornationalcampustheaterfestival.Theschoolwasidentifiedas“ShaanxiCampusDramaPracticeBase”in2011.
ThemajorconstructionofMusicandDanceAcademyisbasedonthetargetoftheschoolconstructiontobuildateachereducationcomprehensiveteachingresearchuniversityandtocultivatehighqualityinnovativetalentsandmanagementpersonnel.Combinedwiththeactual,startingfromtherequirementsofthedevelopmentofsocialeconomicandculturalandofhighermusiceducationdisciplineconstructionandbasicandhighersecondaryeducation,weaimedatconstructingasecondaryschoolwithstrengthandbrand,thefamousteacher,characteristicsandinfluence,soastocultivatehighqualityinnovativetalentsandmanagementpersonnel.Wedoourworkaccordingtotheguidanceofdisciplineandpromoteourworkthroughscientificresearch,atlast,theresultswillbereflectedthroughteachingprocess.Also,weshouldcreatestrongstyleofstudy,teachcorrectlyandcreateagoodatmospherefullofvitalityandhappinessinordertoachieveleapsinbothteachingandeducation.Last,byestablishingandperfectingrulesandregulationsstepbystep,fullyarousingtheenthusiasmoflearning,enthusiasmofscientificresearchandenthusiasmofworking,constantlyimprovingthelevelofscientificwork,institutionalizationandstandardization,soastoconstantlypromotecollegetoahigher,newer,betterdirectiontomoveforward.

MusicandDanceAcademyisasecondaryschool,itmustacceptthemanagementandleadershipoftheschooladministrativedepartmentsatalllevels.Thescaleofeducationmainlydependsonthenumberofstudents.Everyyear,theenrollmentplanisplannedbytheadmissionsofficeoftheeducationsection.Thefacultyemploymentshouldbeapprovedbythepersonneldepartmentoftheschool.Theschool-runningfunds,thescientificresearchfundsandthesourceofthepersonnelsalaryarealltransferredfromschool.TheschoolhasmadeguidanceandrestrictioneffectonthedevelopmentandconstructionofMusicandDanceAcademy,soschoolisamaininternalstakeholderofMusicandDanceAcademy.

Becauseteachersarethefocusofteaching,teachersarethemostimportantinternalstakeholdersoftheMusicandDanceAcademy.Teachers’professionalabilityandsocialinfluenceplayacrucialroletothedevelopmentofthecollege;Atthesametime,thedevelopmentandconstructionofthecollegeisthemotivationandguaranteeofthedevelopmentofteachers.Thecollegehasprovidedscientificresearchconditions,professionallearningandteachingopportunity,soitisthemostpreciousplatformforteacherstoreflectpersonalvalue.Sotheschoolandteachersareresourcesandinterdependenceforeachother.

Thereare1053studentsinMusicandDanceAcademy,andtheyarethemainpartoftheschool,theyarethemainobjectsofoureducationwork.Sotheyareatthecoreofcollegeinternalstakeholders.Everycollegestudentsincollegehasanidealthatistoacquireself-developmentandself-perfection,theyentertheuniversitycampusandgainknowledgeintheirbesttimeinlife.Atthesametime,thecollegeprovidesstudentswithfull-timeteachers,learningplace,trainingplanandteachingplan,andensuretheirstudylife.Theprofessionalabilityofstudentsrepresentstheteachinglevelofthecollege,andtheinfluenceofthestudentsaftertheygraduatefromschoolwillplayavitalroleoncollegereputation.
