1.Shallwegeteachofthemacardandgifttosaythankyou?
我们给他们每人一张卡片和一份礼物来表示感谢,好吗?
(1)shall的主语必须是第一人称I或we,句型"Shalll/we...?
"表示建议或征求对方意见,意为"我/我们可以……吗?
"或"……好吗?
"。
对此类表建议的句型作肯定回答时,常用"Goodidea./Sure./Certainly./Yes,let’s..."等。

我把窗户打开,把门关上,好吗?
(2)shall作情态动词,意为"将要;将会",其后接动词原形,表示一般将来时,用在陈述句中时其主语必须是第一人称。

2.goby过去;(时间)流逝
goby为不及物动词短语,意为"(时间)流逝",还可表示"经过……旁边;从……旁边经过"。
☞Severalyearswentbybeforetheymetagain.他们过了好几年才再次见面。
☞Thebuswentbythestopwithoutstopping.那辆公共汽车停都没停就从汽车站开了过去。

takethetimetodosth.表示"花费时间做某事";explainsth.tosb.表示"给某人解释某事"。

whenever的意思是"无论什么时候",引导的是时间状语从句。

4.degreen.(大学)学位;度数
degree指"某学科的学位"时,是可数名词,常与介词in连用。
degree的复数形式为的degrees。
☞Waterfreezesatzerodegreescentigrade.水在零摄氏度结冰。
☞Mybrothergotamedicaldegree.我哥哥获得了医学学位。
☞Hespentthreeyearsreadingforadegreeinhistory.他花了三年的时间攻读历史学的学位。
5.bethankfulto...对……心存感激
thankful是由动词thank加后缀-ful构成的形容词,意为"感激的,感谢的"。
表达"因……对……心存感激",则用介词for表示原因,即bethankfulto...for...。

6.aheadof在
……前面
(1)ahead是副词,主要用作状语,有时也用作后置定语或表语。
☞Theroadaheadwasnowblockedsolid.前方道路现在被堵死了。
☞Australiawasaheadthroughoutthegame.澳大利亚队在整场比赛中一直领先。
(2)aheadof表示"(在空间或时间上比某人或某事)更早,早于,领先"。
☞Heleftonedayaheadofme.他比我早一天离开。

goahead常用于口语中,表示同意对方的请求,根据情况可译为:
说吧,做吧,开始吧,进行吧。

7.Itisalwayshardtoseparatefromthosewhomyouhavespentsomuchtimewithforthepastthreeyears.
whom引导的是定语从句,修饰先行词those,whom在定语从句中作spent的宾语。

【易混辨析】
separate...from...,divide...into...
(1)separate...from...表示"将……与……分开",指把原来连在一起或接近的部分分隔开来。
☞Thispatientshouldbeseparatedfromtheothers.这个病人应该隔离。
(2)divide...into...表示把某个整块分割为若干部分。
☞Theworldisdividedintosevencontinents.世界被分成七大洲。
