HehadagreedtosupplyaGermanfirmwithalargenumberofcomputercomponents.Inordertomakeaprofitonthedeal,hehadtokeephisownproductioncostsdowntotheminimumandmeetastrictdeadline.Butthedeadlinewasonlyafewdaysaway,andhehadrunintoanumberofdifficultiesinproduction.TheGermanfirmwasgoingtophonelaterthatdayandaskallsortsofdifficultquestions.ThentherewasHelen,hisfiancée.Theyhadhadanotherquarrelandshehadtoldhimthatshedidn'twanttoseehimortalktohimforseveraldays.Shesaidthatsheneededtimetothinkthingsthrough.Hughwishedhecouldatleastseeherovertheweekend,buthehadtogotoBuffaloonFriday.Hehatedtheplaceanditmeantstayinginahotelforseveraldays,whichhehatedevenmore.ButhewastryingtogetanimportantorderfromanAmericancompanythere.

Larry:
Asyouknow,I'vealwayssaidI'dliketoworkinTVproduction,buteveryoneItalkedtotoldmeIwastooyoungandinexperienced.TheysaidI'dhavetogetacollegedegreefirst,andthenlookforajobtogivemeexperience.

So,Iguessyoudidn'tbelieveinthat,didyou?
Larry:
