Abstract:
Singlechipmicrocomputerminimumsystem,ortheminimumapplicationsystem,referstotheelementwiththeleastamountofsingle-chipmicrocomputersystemcanwork.ForthesinglechipMSP430seriesMachine,thesmallestsystemgenerallyincludes:
singlechipmicrocomputer,thepowersupplymodule,crystalvibrationmodule,resetcircuitmodule,JTAGinterfacecircuit.ThispaperintroducestheMSP430F149singlethecharacteristicsofthemachineandtheminimumsystembasedonMSP430F149MCUdesignanditsapplication,andintroducesthecompositionandfunctionofeachmodule.Includedigitaltubedisplaymodule,TheLEDdisplaymodule,LCDliquidcrystaldisplaymodule,eightindependentkeyboardandothercircuitmoduleandextendedapplication.Theminimumsystemcandownload,onlinesimulationanddebugging,Provedbytheexperimentprincipleofcorrectandreliable,andcanbewidelyusedinteaching,scientificresearchandelectronicdesignfield.Byloadingthecorrespondingmodulescanbemadeintousefulproducts,hastheverygreatpracticality.

Withtherapiddevelopmentofmodernelectronictechnologyandcomputertechnology,microcontrollertechnologyhaspenetratedintoeveryaspectofhumanlife,inautomation,intelligentinstrumentation,processcontrolandincreasinguseofhouseholdappliancesandmanyotherfields,microcontrollerfamilyisbecomingmoreandmorebig,moreandmorevarieties,andintechnologyhavedistinguishingfeatureeach,Texasinstruments(TI)newMSP430F149Single-chiplowpowerconsumption,powerful,forthemajorityofhardwaredesigners.
Single-chipmicrocomputerwithnecessaryexternaldevice,generallyincludingpowersupplyintothepowerswitch,resetcircuit,crystals,inputandoutputcircuitcanconstituteaminimumsystem,suchassimplestructure
MSP430F149chiphas60KBFLASH+256bytes,2karma,includingthebasicclockmodule,thewatchdogtimer,withthreecapture/compareregistersandPWMoutput16-bittimers,withsevencapture/compareregistersandPWMoutput,two16bittimerinterruptfunctionof8bitsparallelport,four8-bitparallelport,analogcomparator,12bitA/Dconverter,andthetwoserialcommunicationinterfacemodule,etc.MSP430F149chiphasthefollowingcharacteristics:
(1)Lowpowerconsumption,voltageof2.2V,1MHZclockfrequency,thecurrentactivitypatternchipis200muA,closedmodecurrentisonly0.1A;
(2)Efficient16-bitRISCCPU,27instruction,8MHZclockfrequency,theinstructioncycletimeOf125ns,thevastmajorityofinstructionscompletedinoneclockcycle;(3)Lowvoltagepowersupply,wideworkingvoltagerange:
1.8~3.6V;(4)Flexibleclocksystem:
twoexternalclockandaninternalclock;(5)Lowclockfrequencycanrealizehigh-speedcommunication;(6)Withserialonlineprogrammingability;(7)interruptfunctions;(8)wakeuptimeisshort,wakeupjustfromthelowpowermode

OfallperipheralmodulesMSP430seriesMCUcontrolisachievedthroughspecialregisters,soitisrelativelyeasytowrite.Whenprogrammingdevelopmentthroughthespecialprogrammer,youcanchoosetoassemblyorClanguageprogramming,IARforMSP430seriesMCUdevelopmentthecompanydedicatedC430languages,candirectlybytheWORKBENCHandC-SPYcompilerdebugging,usingflexibleandsimple.
1Theminimumsystemdesign
Minimumsystemisanecessarytoensurereliableprocessorsworkofbasiccircuit,includingpowersupplymodule,themoduleofcrystalvibrationandresetcircuitmodule,JTAGinterfacecircuit,displaymodule,etc
1.1Thepowersupplymodule
Thissystemneedtousethe+5Vand+3.3Vdcregulatedpowersupply;includingMSP430Fl49andsomeperipheraldevicesneedto+3.3Vpowersupply,theotherpartneedto+5Vpowersupply.Inthissystem,inorderto+5Vdcvoltagefortheinputvoltage,3.3V+linearstep-downdirectlybythe+5V.
1.2Crystalvibrationmodule
MSP430seriesMCUclockmoduleincludesnumericalcontroloscillator(DCO),high-Speedofcrystaloscillatorandcrystaloscillatoratlowspeedclocksource.ThisistounderstandSystemofrapidprocessingdataandlowpowerrequirementsofcontradiction,throughthedesignmultipleclocksourceorforclockdesignallsortsofdifferentworkingmode,cansolvesomePeripheralpartsclockrequirementsofreal-timeapplications,suchaslowfrequencycommunication,LCDdisplay,timingDevice,counter,etc.DigitalcontroloscillatorDCOisintegratedwithintheMSP430,inthesystemneedtodesignhighspeedcrystaloscillatorandthelowspeedcrystal
Low-speedcrystaloscillator(LXFTL)canmeettherequirementsoflowpowerconsumptionandtheuseof32.768kHzcrystalvibration.DefaultLFXTLoscillatorworkinlowfrequencymode,the32.768kHz,butcanbebyexternal450kHz~8MHZcrystalvibrationatahighspeedOscillationdeviceorceramicresonatorworkinginhighfrequencymode,inthissystemusinglowfrequencymodeType,crystalsexternal233PFcapacitorafterXINandXOUTconnectedtotheMCU.High-speedchip,alsoknownasthesecondoscillatorXT2,itinworkingfortheMSP430F149Highfrequencymodeprovidesaclock,XT2upto8MHZ.XT2adoptedinthesystem4MHZcrystal,XT2external233PFcapacitorafterXT2INandXT2OUTconnectionTotheMCU.
1.3Resetcircuitmodule
Manualresetisminimalsystemscommonlyusedfunctions,thissystemadoptsthemanualresetbuttonswitchesandRCcircuitimplementation,thecircuitstructureissimple.
1.4TheJTAGinterfacecircuit
JTAGtechnologyisakindofembeddeddebuggingtechnology,chipinternalencapsulatesthespecialelectricaltestTAP(testaccessport),throughspecialJTAGtesttoolstotestandcontrolofinternalnodes,AtpresentmostoftheARMdevicesupportJTAGprotocol,standardJTAGinterfaceis4line;TMS(testmodeselection),TCK(theclock)andTDI(testdataserialinput),TDOserialoutput(testdata).JTAGinterfaceconnectiontherearetwostandardsthat14needleJTAGinterfaceMC9328MX1connectioncircuit.Isusedhereconsistsofthreestateoutput74hc244deight-waybufferof14needleJTAGinterfacecircuit.
2Applicationcircuitdesignbasedonminimumsystem
2.1digitaltubedisplaymodule
Adigitaltubedisplayneed74hc164drive,74hc164serialinputandparalleloutput.Itsparalleloutputactuallythereisadelay,justdelaytimeissmall,canbeconsideredasparalleloutput.Hereisthewayaserialport0,0isandcommunicationoftheshiftregister.TXD,RXDatthistimeisnotlikeotherwaysasend,areceiver,butRXDcanalsoinput,outputTXDshiftpulse.Sendingandreceivingdatamustbe8,bitratefixedis1/12ofthecrystals.Whensetmode0,itisautomaticallyputtheTXDmakeshiftpulse.IndetectingRXDTXDhighlevels,ifhighlevel74hc164studyinto1,ifitisalowlevel,enter0.
Receivingprocess:
RENfirsttobuy1,then1TXD,readRXDcondition,highlevelwillreceive1,receivelowlevel0;ThenpulldowntheTXD,afteraslightdelayTXDagainhigh,readRXD,highlevelwillreceive1,lowlevel0,andsoon.Readuntil8bits.SendSBUFprocess:
issentautomatically.Send1RXDhighfirst,TXDagaingethigher;AndTXDbecomelow,send0RXDlowerfirst,TXDagaingethigher;ThentheTXDbecomelow,andsoon.Thisprocessisdoneautomatically,neednotspecialprogramming.Digitaltubelookfromthefront,thedecimalpointinthelowerrightfoot,thepinabovefromlefttorightarerespectivelyunderthepublicsideofAandB,F,Gofpinsfromlefttoright,respectively,E,C,common(decimal).
2.2TheLEDdisplaymodule
PickupafewLEDthroughtheI/Oport,throughtheprogrammingasimpleprogram,whichcanrealizetheLEDflashing,soastoachievethetestcircuitandchipisnormal.
2.3D/Aconversionmodule
MSP430F149MCUwith12bitA/Dconverter,butnoD/Aconversion,needexternalD/Aconversioncircuit.SochooseDAC0832d/aconversionchip,andUA741high-gaingeneralamplifiercomposedofd/aconversioncircuitoperation.UA741chippinsasshowninfigure1.
DAC0832is8ofD/Aconversionchip.Completecompatiblewithmicroprocessor.TheDAchipwithitslowcost,simpleinterface,converttheadvantagesofeasycontrol,widelyusedintheMCUapplicationsystem.D/Aconverterbyeightinputlatch,8-bitDACregisters,8D/Aconversioncircuitandcontrolcircuit.DAC0832issamplingfrequencyfor8D/Aconversionchip,Integratedcircuithastwolevelsofinputregister,DAC0832chipwithdoublebuffer,singlebufferandthroughthreekindsofinputmethods,inordertofitfortheneedsofthevariouscircuit(suchasrequirementasynchronousinput,synchronousmulti-channelD/Aconversion,etc.).The8bitD/Aconverterhaseightinputend(whereeachinputisoneof8bitbinarynumber),hasananalogoutput.Inputcanhave28=256differentbinaryconfiguration,outputisoneof256voltage,theoutputvoltageisnotarbitraryvaluethroughoutthewholevoltagerange,andcanonlybe256possiblevalues.
