PeoplealwaysthinkthatAustenwasanexpertattellinglovestories.Infact,themarriageinherbookisnottheresultoflove,buttheresultofeconomicneeds.Afterreadingthisbook,Iknowthetruthisthatapoorwomanmustbeinneedofahusband,awealthyman.
Austenleftthisproblemforustothink.ThegeniusofJaneAustenliesinthisperfectsimplicity,thesimplicitythatreflectsbigproblems.AlthoughAustenwas
only21whenshewrote“PrideandPrejudice”,hersharpobservationofsociallivesmakesthestyleofthisbooksurprisinglymatureandlively.Theplotsinherworksarealwaysverynatural.Thedevelopmentoftheplotisasinevitableasaprobleminmathematics.IthinkthedepthofPrideandPrejudiceisthereasonthatmakesthisbookprominentandclassic.Today,herbookstillcanbetheguidetellingustheeconomicrelationshipsbothathertimeandinmoderntime.
