PopularBritishauthor,CharlesDickens’（1812－1870）familycouldhardlymakeendsmeet.Theycouldonlyaffordtosendoneoftheirsixchildrentoschool.Dickenswasnotthatchild.Hisparentschosetosendadaughter,whohadatalentformusic,toanacademy.
