PopularBritishauthor,CharlesDickens’(1812-1870)familycouldhardlymakeendsmeet.Theycouldonlyaffordtosendoneoftheirsixchildrentoschool.Dickenswasnotthatchild.Hisparentschosetosendadaughter,whohadatalentformusic,toanacademy.
