MymainambitionforthefutureistobecomeanAccountantExecutiveoraFinancialAdvisor.Iamhopinguniversitywillprovidemewithanunderstandingofthebusinessworldaswellasofferingmeawiderangeofchoicesandconnectionsaftermycourse.However,Ihavealsohelpedtoteachmathematics.Ihavetakenpartinaprojectatschoolwherewetaughtyoungerpupilsthebasicsofmaths.Ialsohelpedtotutormanyofmyclassmatesinpreparationforexams,whichtheyfoundhelpful.Ienjoyedteachingandsothiswillbemythirdchoiceofcareer.

Outsideofstudying,oneofmymanypassionsisArt.Ienjoyvisitingartgalleriesandstudyingartindepth.MyfavouritetypeofartissymbolismandsurrealismandmyfavouriteartistsareDaliandEscherastheybothdealwith‘doublepossibilities’.Recently,however,Ihavedevelopedanewinterestincontemporaryart,ofwhichIhavedoneanumberofpaintingsoncanvasoncommissionforfriendsandfamilywhohaveallbeenpleasedwithmywork.

MostofmysparetimeontheweekendistakenupbymyparttimejobasasalesassociateatSkechersUSA,Bullring,Birmingham.IhavebeenworkingatSkecherssincetheopeningofthestoreinSeptember2003andamoneofonlytwooftheoriginalmembersofstaffleft.ThisisanadvantageformeasIcanofferthehighestlevelofcustomerserviceandhaveagoodknowledgeoftheoverallrunningofthestore,whichmakesmecommitted,reliableandadaptableasIhavefoundthatIneedtoadjustmyselftothemanychangesthathaveoccurredovertheyear.Myjobhasalsotaughtmetobemoretolerableandpatientwithothers.

Ihavethoroughlyenjoyedcollegeandbelievethatuniversityisthenextstepforme.Collegeandmyparttimejobhavechangedmeasaperson.Theyhavegivenmeagreatersenseofindependenceandsuccess.Ifeelthatcollegehasreallymademegrowandhasintroducedmetoawiderrangeofpeople.IhaveopeneduptopeoplemoreandamnowabetterteamplayerasIhavelearnttolistentoothersandtakeintheiropinions.IhavebecomeacceptingtootherculturesandbeliefsandfeelthatIammuchmoreopen-minded.
