本单元介绍国内外不同节日，具有浓郁的文化气息，教学内容丰富。

学生通过单元的学习，除学会相关的语言知识外，还能学习到涉及中西方节日的文化和风俗习惯。

SectionA侧重介绍我国的传统节日，学生在学习时，应该重点掌握由that，if/whether引导的宾语从句来表达自己的态度和看法；

并且能够使用由how和what引导的感叹句；

学会与节日相关的词语（包括节日的名称、与节日相关的专属用词）以及各种描述性词语（形容词及其习惯表达法）等。

SectionB主要围绕西方的两个节日——Halloween和Christmas来展开，介绍西方国家的节日文化，侧重节日的文化内涵，让学生更深层次地理解西方文化。

教师要鼓励学生通过课外阅读、查阅相关书籍、杂志或网络信息了解西方节日文化，一方面可以拓展学生的视野，另一方面也可以节省课堂的时间，同时也便于学生理解听力和阅读中的内容，减轻因背景文化积累不足所带来的学习压力。

语言方面，学生要学习与这两个节日相关的专属文化词汇，进一步强化本单元的重点句型结构。

技能方面，通过“听说入手→突出阅读→创写语篇”的过程培养学生的综合语言技能；
