本单元介绍国内外不同节日,具有浓郁的文化气息,教学内容丰富。
学生通过单元的学习,除学会相关的语言知识外,还能学习到涉及中西方节日的文化和风俗习惯。
SectionA侧重介绍我国的传统节日,学生在学习时,应该重点掌握由that,if/whether引导的宾语从句来表达自己的态度和看法;
并且能够使用由how和what引导的感叹句;
学会与节日相关的词语(包括节日的名称、与节日相关的专属用词)以及各种描述性词语(形容词及其习惯表达法)等。
SectionB主要围绕西方的两个节日——Halloween和Christmas来展开,介绍西方国家的节日文化,侧重节日的文化内涵,让学生更深层次地理解西方文化。
教师要鼓励学生通过课外阅读、查阅相关书籍、杂志或网络信息了解西方节日文化,一方面可以拓展学生的视野,另一方面也可以节省课堂的时间,同时也便于学生理解听力和阅读中的内容,减轻因背景文化积累不足所带来的学习压力。
语言方面,学生要学习与这两个节日相关的专属文化词汇,进一步强化本单元的重点句型结构。
技能方面,通过“听说入手→突出阅读→创写语篇”的过程培养学生的综合语言技能;
在策略上侧重训练学生对阅读的深层理解,即除了了解语言的表层含义外,还应该培养学生的推断能力,能读懂字里行间的深层含义。
