Asaresultofmagneticparticletestingshowdefectsinvisual,highsensitivity,checkthespeedandlowcost,soitiswidelyusedinsheetmetal,profiles,pipe,forgingsandotherrawmaterialsandsemi-finishedproductsoftheexamination,alsocanbeusedforsteelforgings,steelcastingprocessintheprocessofinspectionandfinalinspectionprocess,andcanalsobeusedforaircraft,train,tractortransportvehiclerepairandoverhaul,aswellaspressurevessel,oiltank,boilerandotherimportantequipmentandmachinery.

Magneticparticletestingcanachievethebasicrequirementofthecondition,andeasytooperate,detectionoflowcost.Inspectionmethodaccordingtothegeneralmagneticpowderdetectioninfluidorcarrierdifferent,dividedintowetanddryprocessinspection;

Thismethodislimitedtotestingcanbesignificantmagnetizedferromagneticmaterials(Fe,Co,Nianditsalloy)anditsproductionbythesurfaceofworkpieceandnearsurfacedefect;
Cannotbeusedinresistancetomagneticmaterials(suchasCu)andthemagneticmaterials(suchasAl,Cr,Mn)--engineeringcollectivelyreferredtoasthemagneticmaterialsdetection.
Magneticalloywithmagneticfield,canshowthreekindsofcases:
(1)Notbemagneticfieldattract,calledthe(fight)magneticmaterials;
(2)Isaweakmagneticfieldattractmaterial,calledshunmagneticmaterials;
(3)Isthemagneticfieldoftheappealstronglytomaterial,saysferromagneticmaterials,itswiththestrengtheningofthemagneticfieldandincreasedsharply,andoutermagneticfieldmoved,canstillkeepmagnetic.Metalmaterials,mostofthetransitionmetalhasparamagnetic;
OnlytheFe,Co,Nimetalisofafewotherstates.
