(1)Thedisplaypanelismadeofglass.Donotsubjectittoamechanicalshockbydroppingitorimpact.
(2)Ifthedisplaypanelisdamagedandtheliquidcrystalsubstanceleaksout,besurenottogetanyinyourmouth.Ifthesubstancecontactsyourskinorclothes,washitoffusingsoapandwater.
(3)Donotapplyexcessiveforcetothedisplaysurfaceortheadjoiningareassincethismaycausethecolortonetovary.
(4)ThepolarizercoveringthedisplaysurfaceoftheLCDmoduleissoftandeasilyscratched.Handlethispolarizercarefully.
(5)Ifthedisplaysurfacebecomescontaminated,breatheonthesurfaceandgentlywipeitwithasoftdrycloth.Ifitisheavilycontaminated,moistenclothwithoneofthefollowingsolvents:

16-2STORAGEPRECAUTIONS
WhenstoringtheLCDmodules,avoidexposuretodirectsunlightortothelightoffluorescentlamps.Keepthemodulesinbags(avoidhightemperaturehighhumidityandlowtemperaturesbelow0C).Wheneverpossible,theLCDmodulesshouldbestoredinthesameconditionsinwhichtheywereshippedfromourcompany.
16-3OTHERS
Liquidcrystalssolidifyunderlowtemperature(belowthestoragetemperaturerange)leadingtodefectiveorientationorthegenerationofairbubbles(blackorwhite).Airbubblesmayalsobegeneratedifthemoduleissubjecttoalowtemperature.
IftheLCDmoduleshavebeenoperatingforalongtimeshowingthesamedisplaypatterns,thedisplaypatternsmayremainonthescreenasghostimagesandaslightcontrastirregularitymayalsoappear.Anormaloperatingstatuscanberegainedbysuspendinguseforsometime.Itshouldbenotedthatthisphenomenondoesnotadverselyaffectperformancereliability.
TominimizetheperformancedegradationoftheLCDmodulesresultingfromdestructioncausedbystaticelectricityetc.,exercisecaretoavoidholdingthefollowingsectionswhenhandlingthemodules.
