ThePudacuoNationalPark,intheeastofShangri-La,southwestYunnanProvince—isoneofthemostbiodiversityregionsoftheworld.TheNationalParkcontainsandpreservesmanyclassicfeaturesofChina’ssouthwesternregiontogetherwithvariousaspectsoftraditionalnomadicTibetanplateaulife.

AmongthesearethetwogreatlakesofBitahaiLakeandShudouLake,whichtogetherformtwoholylakesforthelocalTibetaninhabitants.Notonlycanvisitorstotheparktakeinthestunningnaturalbeautyofthelandscape,butalsolearnsomethingaboutplateauculture.

　　考古发掘也表明，汉代生活在滇池及其附近地区的百越部族有崇拜孔雀的习俗。

在晋宁石寨山和江川李家山出土的许多青铜器物上都刻有孔雀图案，此外，还有孔雀杖头、孔雀衔蛇青铜扣饰等等。

尤其是石寨山12号墓“诅盟”场面贮贝器盖上，竟雕有一妇女以蛇喂孔雀的场景，说明了孔雀普遍受到百越部族的喜爱和崇拜，认为是吉祥幸福之鸟。

《山海经·

南次山经》说：

“其状如鸡，五彩而文

，名曰凤凰。

是鸟也，饮食自然，自歌自舞，见则天下安宁。

”凤凰“其状如鸡”、“五彩而文”等特征和“碧鸡”确很相似，只是有关“碧鸡”的神话传说则更多地带有民族和地域的特点。

　　滇池及滇中广大地区很早就以产马著名,春夏则牧之于悬崖绝谷;

秋冬则放之于水田有草处。

马与少数民族先民的生活密切相关，征战、驮运、耕作……无一离得开马。

人们对马喜爱有加，甚至视为财富。

考古发掘也可证明这一点。

二十世纪末，考古工作者在官渡区羊甫头墓地一东汉墓葬中发掘出了一具青铜马模型，长105厘米、宽32厘米、高107厘米，分体铸造而成。

如此之大的青铜马模型在滇池乃至滇中地区尚属首次发现。

檀萃《滇海虞衡志》载：

“马产几遍于滇，而志载某郡与某某郡出马，何其褊也。

”又言：

“南中民俗，以牲畜为富，故马独多。

”正因为马在人们的生产生活中占有重要地位，因而少数民族先民赋予马神奇的传说，也是十分自然

电视剧连续剧《红楼梦》片头中有一块神姿仙态的“飞来石”，它就在被称为“海南第一山”的东山岭上。

东山岭风景区在万宁市东2公里处，因三峰并峙，形似笔架，历史上又叫笔架山，是海南开发较早的旅游景点之一。

曾与五公祠、鹿回头、天涯海角等景点齐名，素有“海南第一山”之称。

东山岭面积有10平方公里，海拔只有184米高的东山岭遍山都是奇石，前面提到过的那块石头就是“一线天”胜景之处的风动石，它重达百余吨，能在海风的吹拂和人力的推摇下产生晃动。

东山岭濒临南海，景色十分秀丽。

岭上还有多处古迹和庙宇，均为省重点保护文物，其中潮音寺尤为海外侨胞重视。

WuzhenisonethesixfamousancienttownsinthenorthoftheYangtzeRiver,inadditiontoZhouVillage,Tongli,Jiaozhitown,NanxunandXitang..Sinceitsabundanthistoricaltouristresources,WuzhenwasawardedtobetheProvincialAncientTownofHistoryandCulturein1991,rakingfirstamongthesixancienttownssouthoftheYangtzeRiver.ItsarchitectureisinMingandQingstyle.anditsancienttownsarewell-preserved.EndowedwithtypicalwatertowncharacteristicsandprofoundChineseculture,Wuzhenisahotdestinationfortouristsfromhomeandabroad.

LocatedinZhejiangProvince,innorthendofTongxiang,Wuzhenisawatertownwithmorethan2000yearshistory,whichwasservedasboundarybetweenTheWuandYuekingdom.Wuzhendisplaysitswatertownstyle.andfeaturesinelegantbridges,flowingwatersanduniquearchitecture.Thewatersidehouses,exquisiteengravedwindowsandthesimplelifestyle.oflocalpeopleallreflectantiqueatmosphere.Shapedas”acrisscross”,fourancientstreetsintheeast,west,southandnorthconstitutethelayoutofthetown.Peopletherearelivingasimplelife.Manyofthembreedsilkwormsandraisechrysanthemums.Andtheykeepauniquetraditionofbuyingfruitsandvegetablesfromboatsthroughwindowsoftheirwatersidehouses.Thistowndividedintosixdistricts:

TraditionalWorkshopsDistrict,TraditionalLocal-StyledDwellingHousesDistrict,TraditionalCultureDistrict,TraditionalFoodandBeverageDistrict,TraditionalShopsandStoresDistrict,andWaterTownshipCustomsandLifeDistrict.Strollingallthedistricts,youcanfelleachofitsfeaturesandeverydistrictboastsitstraditionandprofoundChineseculture.

ThebridgeistheindispensableingredientofthewatertownofsouthoftheYangtzeRiver.ItissaidthatWuzhenoncepossessedmorethan120bridges.Experiencingupsanddownsinhistory,thereareonly30bridgesretainednow.Withdifferentelegantdesignsandexquisiteengravingskills,thesebridgesboastthecharmofthewatertown.“BridgewithinaBridge”istypicaloneofthem,whichiscomprisedbyTongjiBridgeandRenjiBridgewiththeformercrossingtheriverfromeasttowestandthelatterrunningfromsouthtonorth.Onewillbeamazedatitsextraordinarydesignwitheitheroftwobridgescanbeseenthroughthearchoftheother.

ThisparkonGulangIslandencompassesforests,caves,gullies,largerockformationsandthehighestpointontheislandatYellowRock.SunlightPeakrises204feetintothesky,reachedbyanarrowstaircasewindingupthemountainbelow,sittingnearbyLotusFlowerConvent.TheviewsoverXiamenandJimeiIslandfromthepeakmakethehikeworthwhile.

ZhengChenggong,theMingloyalistmilitaryleaderwhoopposedtheManchuregimeoftheQingandwhodefeatedtheDutchtoclaimTaiwanin1662,ishonoredwithamemorialhallatthebaseofthepark.ManypoetshavewritteneulogiesandpoemstoChenggong,manyofwhichhavebeeninscribedonthewallsofthehallsforvisitorstoread.Thereisalsoanaviary,atemplenamedRiguangYanandaprettybeach.Travelaroundtheparkismademuchsimplerbyacablecarwithmovesvisitorsbetweenthemostpopularattractions.
