Formanyyears,GarciaMarquezknewhewantedtowriteabouthisgrandfather’shouseinAractataca.Towritethisbook,GarciaMarquezandhiswifehadtosellalmostalloftheirpossessionstosurvive.Buttheiractwasworthit.Thebook,“OneHundredYearsofSolitude”wasimmediatelysuccessful.AndthisbookcreatedapathforGarciaMarquez’sfuturesuccess.
