Accordingtothedevelopmentofthesociety,themodeandconnotationoftravelischanging.Theculturaltravelbecomespopulargradually.Itissaidthatthesoulofthedevelopmentoftourismisthelocalcultureoftravel.Thecharmingofthelocalcultureisthebaseofthedevelopmentoftourism.Chengduhasbeendevelopingfasttowardmodernization.Itstourismisalsodevelopingrapidly.Chengduisafamouscitywiththehistoryofmorethanthreethousandsevenhundredyears.ManyplacesofhistoricalinterestsremainedwithvividcharacteristicsofChengdu.InordertomakeChengdubecomethefamoushistoricalandculturalcityofWestChina,thetravelorientationshouldfollowthischaracteristic.However,thetourismofChengdustillfacessomeproblems.Forexample,Chengduhassomanyscenicspots;
theyspreadwidelyandlackthelinetogetthemtogethertobecomeawholetoattackmorevisitors.So,themethodsmustbefoundtosolvetheseproblemsandtoclearthewayforthetourismdevelopment,sothatthetourismofChengducouldhavefurtheranddeeperdevelopment.Atthesametime,itisbettertodeveloptheeco-travelingofgiantpandaandaimforthedemandoftheruralinhabitanttodevelopthevariousleisuretourismofcounty.ItcanmakeanewstepofChengdu’stravelingeconomy.

随着人类社会的发展,旅游活动方式和内涵正在由过去的单纯游山玩水度假型逐渐向求知型转变,文化旅游日益成为时尚。
可以说,旅游业发展的灵魂是旅游文化,旅游文化的魅力是旅游业发展的基础。
因此,旅游业的迅速发展急需文化的武装。
成都是一个朝着现代化发展很快的城市。
他的旅游业发展也很迅速。
成都是一座具有三千七百多年历史的文化名城,历代留下来的名胜古迹很多,并有鲜明的成都特色。
因此,成都旅游的定位可依照这一特征,把成都发展成为中国西部历史文化旅游名城。
尽管如此,成都旅游业仍然面临一些问题。
例如:
成都的小景观非常多,分布又非常的广,缺乏把这些小景点联系在一起的主线。
为了进一步深层次的发展成都旅游业,就必须找到解决这些问题的方法,为发展扫除障碍。
同时,发展极具优势的大熊猫生态旅游和针对成都城市居民的需要,发展不同类型的农家乐休闲旅游业,使成都的旅游经济发展更上一个新台阶。

Introduction
ChengduisthecapitalofSichuanProvince.ItislocatedatthejunctionoftheTuojiangandMinjiangrivers.Chengduismountainousinthenorthwesternarea.Ithasplainsandlowhillsinthesoutheasternarea.Chengduhasamildclimateandabundantrainfallinthesummer.Chengdu’smainproductsaregrain,rapeseedoil,vegetablesandothernon-staplefoods.Chengduisalsoanationalexperimentaltradeandcommercialcenter.Ithasmorethan20,000wholesaledistributorsand240,000retailoutlets.AgreatnumberofwholesalemarketshaveemergedinChengdu,whichnowranksNo.1inWesternChinaintermsofmarketsizeandcapacity.
Chengduisanimportantindustrial,commercialandfinancialcityintheSouthwestofChina.Thiscityisadvancinginvariousways.Ithasalreadybuiltupanindustrialsystem.Itconsistsofthirtyeightindustriesandmorethanonehundredsectors.Theyincludeelectronics,information,machinebuilding,food,pharmaceuticalindustry,tourismandotherleadingindustries.
“Chengdu(thebrocadecity“锦官城”简称“锦城”orthehibiscuscity芙蓉城)hasalonghistory.”(ZhuQixin,Page508)Now,Chengduisafamoushistoricalandculturalcity.Therearesomanyscenicspotsandhistoricalsites,suchasWuhouTemple,DuFuThatchedCottage,SanxingduiMuseum,ChengduGiantPandaBreedingandResearchBase,DujiangIrrigationSystemandsoon.Itisgoodfordevelopingthehistoricalandculturaltravelingbymeansofthe“Shu”culture.The“Shu”culturetakesChengduPlainasthecenter;
Chengduisatthecrucialposition.Today,historicalandculturaltravelingisthepillarofChengdu’stourismindustry.
Therefore,therearestillsomeproblems.SoIwritethisthesistogivesomeadviceandhopeitcanhelpforthetourism.

A.TheBasicPrincipleoftheCityTravelingOrientation
Abouttheorientationproblemofthecitytourism,therearemanykindsofsuggestionsatpresent.Generallyspeaking,itcontainsthetravelingresourceslocalization,thetravelingmarketlocalizationandthetravelingimagelocalization.Butthesethreekindsoflocalizationoverweightmoreeconomicangles,andlacktheresearchonculture.Becausethecultureconnotationisthelifeoftravelingandthereasonofhumanitytravelsthatoccurs.Therefore,inthevariouskindsoflocalization,theculturalorientationproblemshouldbetheprimaryone.
Lookingfromtheindustrialangle,thetravelingistheworldwidebasissunriseindustry,so,afterall,theorientationproblemofthetravelisacultureproblem,needtoorientfromtheculturalangelanddoprofoundresearchofcultureintermsofothers.
Asforthecitytravelingculturallocalization,itdemandstoconformtonatureofthiscityevenmore,conformtopassingonofthegentlepulseoflocalhistory,compatiblewiththelocalcultureandlocalcharacteristics.Chengdushouldjustreflecttheindividualcharacterofthetravelculture,andholdtheessentialfeatureofurbancultureaccurately.Therefore,first,thetravelingorientationproblemofChengduistodiscussthoroughlytheindividualcharactersofChengduandissueofthecharacteristic.
B.TheTravelOrientationofChengdu

Chengduhashugeexploitingpotentialityanddevelopmentprospectsinthehistoricalandculturetraveling.IntheChengduTravelingPlan,itproposesthatChengdubethe“porttouristarea”andthedestinationandtransit.Italsoproposes“travelinthestateofTianfu”andsoontheorientations.Butthisisnotenough.ItmustfollowthecharacteristicofhistoryandcultureandtherealitycharacteristicinChengdu,thengivesavividcultureorientationsviewsynthetically.Fromtherecentsituation,inordertodevelopthehistoricalandculturaltraveling,wehavetorenewourmind,establishthesystemforthedevelopmentofhistoricalandculturaltraveling,haveaccurateorientation,combinetheexistingpotentialtravelingresourcesandsetuptheclassicroute.Iadvocatethiskindofview:

First,“thefirstevidenceofhumanhabitationinSichuanprovinceconsistsofsimpletoolsandaskullcap.TheseobjectsdatebacktotheOldStoneAge.DuringtheNeolithicPeriod(8,000—2,000BC),peopleinSichuanareasusedaxes,potteryjars,boneneedles,andcrudeweapons.However,thefirstmajorcivilizationsintheprovincewereBaandShupeoples,wholivedbetween11thand5thcenturyBC.TheShupeoplelivedontheChengduPlain;
