Forcenturies,peoplehavereportedseeingawildcreatureintheHimalayascalledYeti.TheYetiissaidtobealarge,hairy④animalthatwalksontwofeetlikeahumanbeing⑤.PeoplebelievethatYetissometimescomedownfromthemountainstoattack⑥villagers⑦.

In2007,anAmericanTVteamsawYetitracks33centimetres⑪inlength⑫inthesnownearMountQomolangma.Theymadecopiesofthesetracksandhadthemexamined⑬byascientistintheUSA.Hereportedthattheylookedlikethetracksofasimilarcreature,calledBigfoot⑭,whichsomepeoplebelievelivesintheforestsofthenorthwest⑮oftheUSA⑯.

DrGroverKrantz,ascientistfromWashingtonStateUniversity,studiedreportsofsuchstrangecreaturesformanyyears.Hebecameconvincedtheyexist.Hebelievedthatthesecreaturesarelinkedtoacommonancestor,ananimalthatlivedinAsiasome300,000yearsago.Inhisopinion,thisanimalmadeitswaytootherpartsoftheworld,andcontinuestosurviveeventoday.

雪人和北美野人与一种被称为神农架野人的生物很相似。
已有许多报道说在中国湖北省西部的神农架自然保护区内,人们曾看见过这种野人。
有一个实例就是一群工程师追赶着野人,野人却以惊人的速度和力量奔跑。
也曾发现过巨大的脚印,有人说它们属于野人。
因为这些报道和脚印,人们已经组织过几次对这种生物的搜寻,但是从没找到过它存在的有力证据。
华盛顿州立大学的一名科学家格罗弗·克兰茨博士曾研究有关这类奇怪生物的报道多年。
他开始确信它们存在。
他认为这些生物与一个共同的祖先有关联,该动物生活在约30万年前的亚洲。
在他看来,这种动物后来又去了世界上的其他地方,并一直存活至今。
