Theteamcarriedoutthreeseparateexperimentstolookattheeffectoffoodsound.Inoneexperiment,participantsweregivensnackstoeatwhiletheyworeheadphonesplayingeitherloudorquietnoises.Resultsshowedthatloudernoisemaskedthesoundofchewing,causingparticipantstoeatmore.Thoseinthegroupwiththeloudestsoundsatefourbiscuits,whilethe“quiet”groupate2.75biscuits.
