”阿牛哥抬头看了看小马,然后说:
“这水不深的,我过去的时候刚好到膝盖上面一点儿,但是这水有点冰,你下河的时候一定要走稳才好”。
小白兔蹦过来大声说:
”错了,这水很深很深,我们有只小黑兔昨天差点淹死了,所以我们家的兔子们都不敢过去了,只有结冰的时候敢过去。
”小马说:
”阿牛哥说这水不深,你又说深,到底要听哪一个人说的呀?
”小马看了看牛和兔子的身高,他就明白了,原来我是可以过去的。
小马很有信心对他们说:
“我可以过去的,谢谢你们”。
小马慢慢的走了过去,到了河的对岸后和对面的阿牛哥和小白兔招了招手,愉快地向外婆家走去。

海的女儿
(一)
Faroutintheseathewaterisvery,veryblue.Youcanseethroughitlikeglass.Fardowninthewatertherearebeautifultreesandplants.Thesetreesandplantsaresofarfromthetopofthewaterthatnoonecanseethem.Fishesgoinandoutofthetreesjustlikebirds.ThisistheplacewheretheSeaKing’scityis.
TheSeaKing’swifediedmanyyearsbefore,sohisoldmotherlookedafterhim.ShelovedtheSeaKing’ssixchildrenverymuch,andtheylovedtheirgrandmother,too.Thesesixchildrenwerebeautifulprincesses.Theyoungestprincesswasthemostbeautiful:
hereyeswereasblueastheseaandherbodywaswhitelikearose.But,likeallhersisters,shehadnofeet.Thetopofherbodywaslikeagirl’sbody;
andtherestofherbodywaslikethebodyofafish.
ThesixprincessesoftenplayedalldayinthebigroomsinsidetheSeaKing’shouse.BeautifulflowersGREwoutofthewallsonallsidesofthem.Whenthewindowswereopened,fisheswouldgointotheroomsjustlikebirdscomeintoourrooms.ButthefisheswerebraverthanbirdsTheywentuptothelittleprincessestoeatfoodfromtheirhands.
InfrontoftheSeaKing’shousetherewasalargegardenfullofredplantsandblueplants.Theflowersoftheseplantswereliketheburningsun.Therewasabluelightoverthegarden;
youwouldthinkthatyouwereupinthesky—notdowninthesea.
Eachofthelittleprincesseshadherownlittlegardeninsidethelarge
garden.Theycouldplanttheflowers,whichtheythemselveslikedthemost.Theyoungestprincessplantedredflowersinthegarden,andsheplantedaredtreeneartheflowers.Shewasnotatalllikehersisters.
在海洋的远处,水很蓝很蓝,你能象隔着玻璃一样,看透它。
水底深处有美丽的树木和植物。
这些树木和植物离水面很远,谁也看不到它们。
鱼儿在树木间游来游去,就象鸟儿在天空飞翔一样。
海王的城市就在这个地方。
海王的的妻子死了很多年了,他的老母亲照顾他。
她非常喜爱海王的六个孩子。
她们也爱她们的祖母。
这六个小孩都是美丽的公主。
最小的公主最美丽,她的眼睛象海一样蓝,她的身体像玫瑰一样白。
不过,她和姐姐们一样,没有腿。
她的上半截象一个姑娘的身体,下半截却象一条鱼的身体。
六个公主常常整天在海王王宫的大厅里游玩。
这些大厅墙壁周围长满了鲜花。
窗户开着的时候,鱼儿会游入室内,就象鸟儿会飞进我们的房间一样。
不过鱼儿比鸟儿勇敢,它们游到小公主跟前,吃她们手里的食物。
在海王宫殿前面有一个很大的花园,里面长满了红色的和蓝色的植物。
这些植物上的花朵象燃烧着的太阳。
花园中闪耀着蓝色的光芒,你会以为这是在空中,而不是在海底。
在这个大花园里,每位小公主都有一个自己的小花园,她们可以栽种自己最喜欢的花卉。
最年幼的公主在她的花园里种上红色,靠近这些花,又种了一棵红树。
她一点儿也不象她的姐姐们。

theflowersintheseahadnosmellatall.Shewasverypleased,too,whensheheardthatthesmallfishesintheskycouldsing.Theoldladywasspeakingaboutbirds,butshecalled
themfishesbecausethelittleprincessesdidnotknowaboutbirds."
Whenyouarefifteenyearsold,youcangotothetopofthesea,"
theirgrandmothersaid."
Youwillthensitatnightandseetheshipsgoby.Andyouwillknowaboutcitiesandmen."
Thenextyeartheoldestofthesisterswouldbefifteen.Shewasveryhappy,buttheothersisterswereunhappy.Theycouldnotgotothetopofthesea.Theoldestsistersaidthatshewouldtellthemabouteverythingthatshesaw.
Butnoneofthesisterswantedtogosomuchastheyoungestsisterwantedtogo.Onmanynightsshestoodbytheopenwindow,lookingupthroughthebluewater.Shecouldseethesunanditlookedverybigtoher.Ifashipwentbyupthere,aboveher,shethoughtthatitmustbeaverybigfish.
Thedaynowcamewhentheoldestoftheprincesswasfifteenandcouldgotothetopofthesea.
Whenshecamebackshehadmanythingstotell.
这个小公主喜欢听跟自己不同的人类的故事。
这些人有腿,不在海里生活,他们在陆地上生活。
她让祖母把她所知道的一切有关船只、城市和人类的知识告诉她。
当她听到地上的花儿有好闻的香味时,她很高兴。

“等你到你们满十五岁的时候,你们可以浮到海面上去。
”她们的老祖母说,“你们晚上坐在那儿,看船只在身旁驶过去,你们就知道城市和人的一些事。
再过一年,最大的姐姐就满十五岁了,她很高兴,但其她的姐妹却不愉快。
她们不能到海面上去。
大姐姐说,她会把她看到的一切讲给她们听。
可是,在姐妹中谁也没有象最年幼的妹妹那样,想上去想得那么厉害。
有很多夜晚,她站在开着的窗口,透过蓝色的海水,朝上凝望。
她看到太阳,对她来说,太阳看起来是那么大。
如果一条船从她上方的海面驶过,她会以为那是一条很大的鱼。
这一天来到了,最大的公主满十五岁,可以升到海面上去了。
她回来的时候,有许多事情要讲。

Theyoungestprincesswantedtohearabouteverythingagain.Thenextnightwhenshestoodbytheopenwindowandlookedupthroughthesea,shethoughtshecouldhearthebellsringing.
Thenextyearanothersisterbecamefifteenandwenttothetopofthesea.
Shewenttherejustasthesunwasgoingdownintheskyatnight.
ThiswasmorebeautifulthananyotherthingIeversaw,"
shetoldhersisterswhenshecameback."
Theskywasgolden,andIcannottellyouhowbeautifulitwas."
Itwassoontimeforanothersistertogotothetopofthesea.Shewasthebravestofthesix,andshewentupariver.Shesawhillswithwoodsandhousesandsheheardthebirdssinging.Manychildrenwerejumpinginthewater.Thenalittledogranafterher.Shebecameafraidandwentbacktothesea.

Shecamebackandshemadeitintosomenice,fine,lightbread.Oh,yesshedid.Bakeditwithsomecinnamonandlittlehoneyandlotsofbutter.AndImeanyoucouldsmellitallovertheplace!
Oh,takeasniffnow!
Whoo,Imtellingyou,oldducksmelleditdownthereintheoldmuddypond.
Andallofasudden,hecamesquawking,waddingintothekitchen.
Thentherewasthedog,whowaschasinghistailaroundthetree.Hesaid,"
