ButtheUnitedNations’slatestassessmenttellsuspreciselytheopposite—therehasanoverallslighttendencytowardlessdrynessinNorthAmerica.Moreover,thereisnowaythatKrugmancouldhaveidentifiedthisdroughtasbeingcausedbyglobalwarmingwithoutatimemachinesinceclimatemodelsestimatethatsuchdetectionwillbepossibleby2048,attheearliest.
