语篇解读
这篇文章有些晦涩难懂,不过我们还是能从蛛丝马迹中一窥全貌:
第一段:
重点是:
(前面都是专有名词,不用看)NewOrleansexistsinastateofinsidiousdisintegration(蜕变)—“crumblingintoashes”—thankstoitsdangerousgeographyandits“fraudsandmaladministrations.”…Itisbettertolivehere…
这个句子大意:
新奥尔良因为恶劣的地理环境、欺诈和不良管理,已经进入了危险的蜕变。
。
最好还是生活在这里。
笔者读到这里是比较糊涂的,既然蜕变,为何依恋?
难道金窝银窝不如自家的狗窝?
作者随后又用纽约做比较:
…toliveanywhereelsewouldleadinevitablytoastupidandpitiableexistence.这句话大意是:
住在纽约外的其它地方,都必然会陷入愚蠢和可怜的境界。
其实这里就涉及到题眼了:
有比较的地方就有题目

干扰项设置比较有水平,因为这种比较很容易张冠李戴。
第二段:
Inpart说明了下面开始讲原因:
thespiritofNewOrleansisrootedinthecity’sbelow-sea-levelunsteadiness…,大概就是新奥尔良的这种精神根源于它的海拔低环境。
接下来一个专有名词Katrina,这肯定是举例了,不用细看,例子都是为了说明前面论点的。
用余光扫一下,可知destroyed,notsurvive,losttheirhomes可知一场飓风,百姓受苦了!
这个例子结束的时候有revealed,turnedout,很重要,暗示后面是作者的总结:
shabbycivilengineering;
corruptandinefficientgovernmentinstitutions…anAdministrationinWashingtonwitnessedfordaysacitydrowning…andreactedwithannoyingindifference。
我们大致可以总结:
民用设施很差、政府机构腐败低效、官方冷漠心寒。
尽管如此,作者还是不忘照应主题句,一个andyet转折来强调老百姓的不折不饶精神。
最后一句比较费解,主要是aHobbesianwarofall-against-all的理解,但我们可以不用深究,因为引用名人所说无非是证明前面的论点。

利用例子的细节出题。
由Thestormandtheterriblefloodingthatfollowed—anaturaldisasterworsenedbyarangeofman-madedisasters可知A项错在ledto,B项错在following,干扰项都是利用时间顺序错位。
D项文章没有提及,百姓只是受苦和忍受,没提憎恨。
第三段:
本段要抓住几个路标词句:
instead,buthemoves….

大意是:

文章不用全看懂,你只要抓住主题句以及某些和情感有关的形容词也能大致明白大意。
所以,千万不要因为一头雾水而误以为自己什么也看不懂。
我发现所有阅读理解都能用一句话说清楚,本文就是:

一、概要怎么写:
写概要一定要先看明白体裁,本文是新闻。
新闻类的概要基本都是第一段,但是还要关注下面几段有没有意见,如果有意见还要注意是单一意见还是正反意见,各有不同的写法。

二、如何谈看法
先表明自己的立场(Iamopposedtohisbehavior)。
谈看法无非就是这件事(事物)的重要性或危害性。
这里就涉及到一个思维发散问题:
罗尔的欺骗会有什么后果?

这一层不难想,然后让这个程度拔高一点(写作就是或者让它更好,或者更坏)

三、如何谈启示
其实启示和看法我看不出有什么不同的,这里需要换个角度说公平诚信的好处了。
说起来,就是鸡汤。
我在前面的写作文章里说到,鸡汤类的东西都是可以捆绑在一起的,彼此成因果关系,举个例子,说公平,就要说到机遇、自信等。
先来一个主题句:

思路:
