Onhisway,hemetotheranimals.Theywerestunnedforafewsecondsandthenbegantolaughatthetortoise,saying,“Howsillyyouare!
Theceremonyisstarting.Canyoumakeitasyouwalksolowly?
I’mafraidyoustillcan’tbethereafterthebabylionkingisborn,orgrowuporevenafterhegetsmarried.”Butthetortoisehadmadehismindtogo.
Manyyearspassed,andhefinallygottotheentranceofthelionking’scave.Nowonderthatthelionking’sweddinghadalreadybeenfinishedalongtimeago.However,thetortoisefoundthatthecavewassowell-decoratedandallvarietiesofanimalswerethere.Theytoldthetortoise,“Today,thesonoftheoldlionkingisgoingtogetmarried.”

Thethirdmansawit.Hewasquitemovedbythespider’sperseveranceandsaidtohimself,“Iwon’tletalittlespiderbestrongerandmorepersistentthanme.I’lllearnfromhisexampleandbecomestronger,”andhedid.

Therewasayoungflowerinthedesertwhereallwasdryandsadlooking.Itwasgrowingbyitself,enjoyingeverydayandsayingtothesun,“WhenshallIbegrownup?
”Andthesunwouldsay,“Bepatient!
EachtimeItouchyou,andyouwillgrowalittle.”Shewassopleasedbecauseshewouldhaveachancetobringbeautytothiscornerofsand.Andthisisallshewantedtodo----bringalittlebitofbeautytothisworld.
Butonedayahuntercamebyandsteppedontheflower.Shewasgoingtodieandshefeltsosad.Notbecauseshewasdying,butbecauseshewouldneverhaveachancetobringalittlebitofbeautytothiscornerofthedesert.
