Itsparentcompany,Japan-basedMoriBuildingCo.Ltd,establishedtheShanghaisubsidiaryastheoperatorresponsibleforthisambitiousproject.Thedesign,whichisundergoingrevisioninJapan,willaccommodateinternationalhigh-techbusinesses,departmentstores,artgalleries,
clubsandafive-starhotel.UnlikethegloomyeconomiesoftheUnitedStates,EuropeandJapan,Chinaenjoysastronggrowthwithbrighterprospects,Takeuchisaid.
MorecapitalandbusinessesareexpectedtoflowintoShanghai,whichaimstobecomeaworldcentrefortradeandthefinancialindustry—withLujiazuiasitsshowpiece.
