However,heshowedthathehadmultipletalentsin1482whenhebegantoworkfortheDukeofMilanasachiefengineer.Intheduke’smilitaryfactories,daVincidevelopedaninterestinwarweapons.
Hedesignedmanyimportantmachines,includinghelicoptersandparachutes.Healsodrewandwroteaboutanarmoredcar,whichcouldcarryeightmeninsideandallowthemtofireweaponsthroughholesinitswalls.DaVinci’sidealedtothemoderntank.ThoughdaVincineverbuiltmanyoftheinventionshedesigned,someofthethingsheimaginedinthelate1400sareinusetoday.
