AndrewStiehm,asleepmedicineexpertwithAllinaHealthinMinnesota,agrees.It’spossibleforthepartofthebrainthatcontrolsmotor(运动神经)skillstowakeup,whilethepartofthebrainthatcontrolsmemoryandjudgmentmayremainasleep.That’swhysomepeoplecanperformbasicmovements–suchaswalking,talking,textingorevendriving–whilethey’resleeping.
