SincetheReformandOpening,theforeignlanguageeducationinruralareashasbeenexpandingalotandithasmadesomedistinctachievements.However,becauseofthevastland,thereexitsabigdifferenceofeducationbetweendifferentregions.Inrecentyears,theEnglisheducationinruralareagrabsmoreandmorepeople’seyeballs;
somanyscholarshavebeendiscussingthecurrentsituationthattheEnglishteachinginruralareasfacesfromdifferentaspectsandithasmadesomeachievements.However,itisstillimportanttoconstantlyresearchtheruralEnglisheducation.
ThispapermainlysurveysstudentsofShanweiJuniorHighSchoolofBeiliucityandanalyses,summarizesthesurveyresultandexploressomestrategiesfortheproblemsitreflects.Thispapermainlyconsistsoffiveparts.Thefirstpartcomestotheintroduction,whichincludesresearchingbackground,researchingsignificance,researchingmethodsandtheorganizationofthisthesis.Thesecondpartistheliteraturereview,itshowssomeresearchesaboutEnglisheducationinruralareasinChinaandresearchesaboutinterestabroad.Thethirdpartanalysesandsummarizesthesurvey.Thefourthpartexploressomestrategiesfortheproblemsthatthesurveyreflects.Thelastpartconcludesthethesisandpointsoutsomelimitationsofthispaperandthefutureeffort.
Thispaperaimsatbetterunderstandingthecurrentsituationofstudents’EnglishlearninginruraljuniormiddleschoolandtriestomakeacontributiontothedevelopmentofEnglishteachinginthevastruralareasinChina.

摘要
改革开放以来,我国农村外语教育教学规模不断扩大,并取得了一定的成就。
然而,由于我国幅员辽阔,各地区教育之间存在着较大差别。
近年来,农村初中英语教学受到越来越多人的关注,很多学者都从不同角度对农村初中英语教学所面临的现状进行论述,并取得了一定的成果,但对农村初中英语教学开展持续性的研究,仍然有着非常重要的意义。
全文主要在前人有关研究的基础上通过对北流市山围镇初中学生进行问卷调查,再对调查结果进行分析总结,并对存在的问题提出相应的解决方法。
文章主要由五部分组成:
第一部分为绪论,分别从研究的背景、意义、研究内容、研究方法以及文章结构五方面进行阐述。
第二部分为文献综述,介绍了国内外有关英语学习的研究,特别是国内有关农村初中英语教学的研究情况。
第三部分对调查问卷进行分析总结。
第四部分针对调查问卷所反映的情况提出相应的对策。
最后部分对整个文章进行了总结,并指出该研究存在的不足,以及今后努力的方向。
文章旨在更好的了解现农村初中学生英语学习现状,也为广大农村英语教学的提高做出一点贡献。

1.Introduction
1.1BackgroundoftheStudy
Since2003,Chinahaslaunchedacomprehensivenewbasiceducationcurriculumreform,whichemphasizesonthechangeofstudents’learningmethods,stressestheformationofapro-activeattitudetowardlearningandaimstoachievetheteachingobjectivesandastudent’scomprehensivedevelopmentfromthreedimensionalities:
theknowledgeandskills,theprocessesandmethods,themoodattitudesandvalues.Thenewcurriculumreformincreasedthecontactbetweenstudentsandtheirsociallife,whichmadethecoursecontentmorespecificandfullofflavoroflife.Thenewbasiceducationcurriculumreformemphasizesapeople-orientedconcept.Thecoreideaisforallofstudentsandforeachstudent’sdevelopment.
China’sruralpopulationaccountsforabout50.32%ofall.Juniorhighschoolstudentsinruralareasaccountforalmost2/3ofthetotalnumber.It’sobviousthatthedevelopmentofbasicEnglisheducationinruralareasinChinaplaysavitalroleinimprovingtheoverallpopulationqualityofChina.Becauseofthedifferencesintheeducationdevelopmentindifferentareas,thereexistsaseriousimbalancebetweenurbanandruralareasandtheEnglishteachingqualityofdifferentruralregionsdiffers.Establishingaharmonioussocietynotonlyrequirestonarrowthedifferencebetweenurbanandruralbutalsorequirestograduallyeliminatetheimbalanceineducationindifferentareas.However,affectedbysocialenvironment,teachingconditionsandmanyotherfactors,thereexistsabiggapofEnglishteachingqualityinruraljuniorhighschoolcomparedwithcities.
TheEnglisheducationinruralareasgetslessattentioncomparedwithcitiesfromsocietyandpeopleandChina’sinvestmentinEnglisheducationinruralareasisfarbehindcities.Asmanypeopleknow,theequipmentinruralareasisfarbehindcities,whichleadsintothepoorteachingcondition.
1.2AimsandSignificanceoftheStudy
1)AimsofthisStudy
First,itisforabetterunderstandingofthesituationofstudents’Englishlearningofruraljuniorhighschool.Second,itanalysesthemainreasonswhystudentshavealowinterestinlearningEnglishandgetinadequateattentiononEnglish.Third,itexploressomesolutionstotheproblemsthatthesurveyreflects.ThemostimportantthingisthatthisresearchcanprovideEnglisheducationistsandtheregulation-makerssomeadvice.
2)Significance
(1)Theoreticalsignificance
ItcanprovideareferenceforadeepresearchaboutruralEnglishlearning.Throughthissurvey,theauthorobtainsfirst-handdataanddetailedinformationaboutruralEnglishteachingandlearning,whichcanreflectinsomeextenttherealproblemsexistinginruralschoolsandprovideareferenceforfurtherresearchinrelatedfields.
Developandrichtheruraleducationtheory.AsthecountrysidebuildingofChinaisgoingvigorouslytoday,thetheoryforumhasfocusedonthenewsocialistcountrysideissuesandtheruraleducation.Researchscholarsaretryingtofindoutaruraleducationtheorythatsuitsthedevelopmentofruraleducation.Thisarticlewillgivesomehelpinthedevelopmentandrichnessofruraleducationtheory.
(2)Practicalsignificance
First,itcanenablethevaststudentsinruralareastofaceuptotheirexistingproblemsandbetterlearningmethodstobootlearningefficiency,andthenmakeruralEnglishteachersrightlyeyetheexistingproblemsthatstudentsfaceintheprocessofEnglishlearning.Thelastbutnotleast,itcanprovidereferencesfortheeducationiststoestablishthesolutiontotheEnglishteachinganditcangivetheauthoralotofhelpinthecomingteachingcareerwithnodoubt.
1.3ResearchingMethods
Literaturemethod:
theauthorlookedforalotofarticlesandmonographsaboutruraleducationandsummarizedthepreviousresearchachievementsandgetabasicpictureaboutit.Itisalsoapre-jobforthispaper.
