Mymotherhadguestsoapsinthebathroom.Inahomewithveryfewluxuries(奢侈品),thosetinyrosesofgrapepurpleandlemonyellowrepresentedsomethingspecialtoher;

Usinganonlinesurveyavailableinfourlanguages,researchersaskedthepublictonamethewildspeciestheyconsideredmostattracting.Theyalsolookedathowfrequentlyanimalswererepresentedonzoowebsites,andonthecoversofDisneyandPixarfilms.Additionally,theteamhadvolunteersinFrancecataloguetheirmeetingwithvirtual(虚拟的)populationsofthe10most“inviting”animalsovertheperiodofaweek.Theysawanaverageof4.4lionsincartoons,magazinesandothersourceseachday,suggestingthatpeoplearelikelytoseetwotothreetimesasmany“virtual”lionsinayearastherearelionsinWestAfrica.“MostlyIthinkbecausepeopleseegiraffesandlionseverydayoftheirlife,theyunconsciouslythinktheyareinabundance,”Dr.Courchampsaid.
