ThisStandardprovidesadditionalcriteriaforthequalificationofproductcertificationoffices-plugsandoutlets,fixormobile,exclusivelyforAC,withorwithoutgroundingcontact,whethertheyareorarenotpartofconnectionandextensioncables,withratedtensionover50Vbutnotexceeding440Vandratedcurrentequalorbelow32A,destinedfordomesticelectricalinstallationsorthelike,internallyorexternally.

6DEFINITIONS

ForthepurposesofthisINMETROStandard,thedefinitionsfrom6.1to6.5havebeenadopted,supplementedbythosecontainedinNBR8402andinABNT-ISO/IECGuide2.

6.1ConformitySeal

TrademarkposedorissuedaccordingtothecriteriaestablishedbyINMETRO,onthebasisoftheprinciplesandpoliciesadoptedbySBC,indicatingtheexistenceofanadequatelevelofreliabilitytotheeffectthattheplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruseareinconformitywithNBR6147.

6.2LicenseforUseoftheConformitySeal

DocumentissuedaccordingtothecriteriaestablishedbyINMETRO,onthebasisofprinciplesandpoliciesadoptedwithinSBC,wherebyanOCPgrantstoacompany,bymeansofanagreement,therightofusingthecertificationidentificationwithintheSBCinitsproducts,accordingtothisStandard.

6.3ProductCertificationOffice-OCP

Public,privateorcombinedofficewithnon-profitablepurpose,pertainingtoathirdparty,andcertifiedbyINMETRO,accordingtothecriteriaestablishedbysame,onthebasisoftheprinciplesandpoliciesadoptedwithintheSBC.

6.4Lot

Definedquantityofproductunitsunderproductionorproducedunderuniformconditions.

6.5DescriptionRecords

Reportsuppliedbythemanufacturerorimporter,containingthedescriptionoftheconstructioncharacteristicsoftheplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruse.

7GENERALCONDITIONS

7.1TheobjectofthecertificationidentificationwithintheSBCofplugsandoutletsfordomesticorsimilaruseistoindicatetheexistenceofanadequatelevelofreliabilitythattheproductsareinconformitywithNBR6147.

7.1.1TheaccepteddimensionsarelistedunderEnclosureChereof.

OmissivecaseswillbeappraisedbyINMETRO.

7.2TheuseofthecertificationidentificationwithinSBCinplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruseislinkedtotheconcessionofalicenseissuedbyOCP,asprovidedhereby,andtothecommitmentsundertakenbythecompanybymeansofthelicenseagreementfortheuseoftheConformitySealexecutedwithsame.

7.3ThelicensefortheuseoftheConformitySealshallcontainthefollowingdata:

a）companyname,fantasyname,fulladdressandCNPJofthelicensedcompany;

b）completeOCPdata;

c）numberofthelicensefortheuseoftheConformitySeal,dateofissueandvalidityofthelicense;

d）certificationidentification;

e）referencetotheNBR6147standard;

f）signatureoftheresponsiblepersonfortheOCP;

g）completeidentificationofthecertifiedproduct;

h）thenote:

"

Thislicenseisboundbyanagreementandtotheabovementionedaddress"

7.4Thelicensedcompanybearsthetechnical,civilandcriminalresponsibilityinrelationtotheproductsmanufacturedorimportedbysame,aswellasforalldocumentsrelatedtothecertification;

thetransferofsuchliabilityshallnotbepermitted.

7.5ThelicensefortheuseoftheConformitySeal,aswellasitsuseontheproducts,doesnot,inanyway,transferthelicensee'

sliabilitiestoINMETROand/ortotheOCP.

7.6Whenthelicensedcompanypublishesacatalogue,commercialoradvertisingbrochure,thereferencestothecertificationidentificationwithinSBCshallonlybemadeforcertifiedproducts,leavingnodoubtsbetweencertifiedandnon-certifiedproducts.

7.7Inthetechnicalmanuals,instructionsorinformationtousers,referencesaboutcharacteristicsnotincludedinNBR6147cannotbeassociatedtothecertificationidentificationwithinSBCorinducetheusertobelievethatsuchcharacteristicsareguaranteedbysuchidentification.

7.8ShouldtherebeareviewofthestandardsservingasreferencefortheconcessionofthelicenseforusingtheConformitySeal,INMETROshallsetatermforadjustmenttothenewrequirements.

8SPECIFICCONDITIONS

8.1TheConformitySealshallbeplacedontheplugsandoutletsfordomesticorsimilaruse,inavisibleway,bymeansofprintingsuchSealontheproductandpackage,shouldtherebeany,asprovidedunderEnclosureChereof.

8.1.1Incaseoflotcertification,theConformitySealshallbeplacedontheplugsandoutletsfordomesticorsimilarusebymeansofplacinganadhesivesealontheproductsandpackages,providedtheyareindividuallymarkedbyproduct.

8.1.2ThesealofthecertificationidentificationwithinSBCshallbeprinted,controlledanddistributedbyINMETRO,andthelicensedcompanyshall,underitsfullresponsibility,requestfromtheOCPinadvancethequantityrequiredforplacementonallcertifiedplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruse.

8.1.3Thelicensedcompanyshallmaintainrecordsofthesequentialnumbercontrolofthesealsinstockandthoseplacedonthecertifiedplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruse.Suchrecordsshallcontain,atleast,thefollowinginformationregardingtheswitchwherethesealhasbeenplaced:

a）serialnumberorlotidentification;

d）manufacturingdate;

c）model.

8.2ThelicensedcompanyshallplacetheConformitySealonallcertifiedplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilaruse.

8.3ThelicensedcompanyshallimplementacontroltoidentifytheproductsdisplayingtheConformitySeal,andINMETROshallbemonthlyinformedaboutsuchcontrol.TheOCPshallverifythetraceabilityofthecertifiedproducts,onthebasisoftheinformationreceivedfromINMETROandthecontrolsofthelicensedcompany.

8.4Shouldtheplugsandoutletsfordomesticandsimilarusesufferanychangeintheirdescriptionrecords,thelicensedcompany,priortosaleofthoseproducts,shallformallynotifytheOCPwhich,byresolutionoftheCertificationCommission,shalldecideontherequirementofobtaininganextensionofthescopeofthelicensefortheuseoftheConformitySeal.

8.5ShouldtheOCPrequirethepresentationoftherequestforextensionofthescopeofthelicenseforuseoftheConformitySeal,theplugsandoutletsfordomesticorsimilarusepertainingtosamemayonlybesoldasofthemomentwhentheOCPapprovessuchextension.

8.6Whenthesupplierwishestoextendthelicensetoadditionalmodelsofthesamebasicdesignofaproduct,ofthesamemanufacturingunit,observingthesametechnicalstandards,itmayrequestitsextensiontotheOCP.Therequestmustbemadeforagivenmodelandforthesamemanufacturingunit.

8.7TheOCPshalldetermineiftherequestforextensionispertinent,takingintoconsiderationtheobservanceofthefollowingconditions,forassessmentasahomogeneousseries:

a）themodelsshallhavethesamebasicdesign;

b）thepolesshallhavethesameexternaldimensions;

c）thematerials,finishinganddimensionsofthepartsconductingthecurrentshallbeidentical;

d）theterminalsshallbeofthesametype;

e）thesize,material,setupandthecontactfasteningmethodshallbeidentical;

f）theoperationmechanismanditsmaterialsandphysicalcharacteristicsshallbeidentical;

g）themoldingandinsulationmaterialsshallbeidentical;

h）themultipolardevicesshallbecomprisedofmonopolardevicesorbuiltwiththesamecomponentsofthemonopolardevices,withthesamegeneralsizeperpole,excludingadditionalbarriersbetweenpoles.

8.8TheOCPshalldecideonthenecessityofperformingnewtests,accordingtoEnclosureAhereof.

9CERTIFICATIONMODEL

ThisStandardestablishesthepossibilityofchoosingbetweentwodifferentmodelsofcertificationfortheobtentionoflicensesfortheuseoftheConformitySeal.Thepetitionerwillberesponsibleforformalizing,beforetheOCP,themodeltobeusedforthecertificationofhisproducts.
