ThispositionisopentoexternalapplicantsresidinginChinaandemployeesoccupyinganindeterminateortermpositioninChinaMissionswhomeetalloftheessentialqualificationsandwhoseapplicationsarereceivedbytheclosingdate.
Short-listedcandidatesshouldbeabletoparticipateintestsand/orinterviewsinBeijingatownexpense.ThesuccessfulcandidatewillberequiredtorelocatetoBeijingatownexpense.
Summaryofduties:
TheEDCRegionalManager,BeijingofficeworksunderthegeneraldirectionoftheEDCChiefRepresentative,GreaterChinaandisresponsibleforleading/co-leadingEDC’sbusinessdevelopmentprogramsinthedesignatedareaofresponsibility.TheEDCRegionalManagerisalsoresponsibleforhelpingtobuildandmanagethebrandimageandreputationofEDCasalocalplayerinthemarket.TheincumbentactsasakeyliaisonwiththeHeadofMissionandworksinacomplimentarymannerwiththeTradepersonnelinthemission.
TheEDCRegionalManagerisaccountableforbusinessresultsanddesignatedstrategicaccountswithinhis/herassignedgeographicalresponsibilityasdefinedbytheEDCChiefRepresentative,GreaterChina.
Mandatoryrequirements:
Education:
∙Master’sdegreefromagovernmentrecognizeduniversity,preferablywithadegreeincommerceorarelatedarea.Acombinationofeducation,trainingandexperienceisacceptable.
Language:
∙ProficiencyinEnglish(reading,writing,listening,speaking)
∙ProficiencyinMandarinChinese(reading,writing,listening,speaking)
Experience:
∙Atleastsix(6)yearsofrecentandrelevantexperienceinfinancialservicesindustry,eitherinsellingorunderwriting.Includingaminimumofthree(3)yearsofExternalCommercialBorrowing(ECB)lendingexperience
∙Atleastthree(3)yearsofExperienceindealingwiththepublicandmanagingrelationswithadiverseclientbase
∙Atleastthree(3)yearsofExperienceindevelopingclientandstakeholderrelationships,andinobtaining,preparingfor,andconductingmeetingswithimportantexternalparties,suchasclientsorinfluencers
Knowledge:
∙Knowledgeofinternationalbusiness(exporting,importing,investment,technologytransfer)
∙KnowledgeofrelevanttopicssuchasCanadianandChinesetradeandinvestmentbusinessenvironmentandpractices;
