Formanyyears,researchershaveanalyzedRobinsonCrusoefromthreeaspects:

aestheticperspectiveandtheperspectiveofRobinsonasabourgeoisieintherisingperiod.1However,ifwereadthisnovelbyvirtueofthepostcolonialtheory,wewillfindthatRobinsonCrusoealsodisplaysacolonialideology.Robinson’sexperiencesaresimilartoearlybourgeoisie’scolonization.Robinson’sdevelopmentprocessisinfactanepitomeofWesterncapitalism’searlypracticeofoverseascolonization.InthispapertheauthortriestoanalyzeRobinsonCrusoe’simageasacolonist.
