Unnecessarywordscanbeanypartofspeech—nouns,verbs,adjectives,adverbs,prepositions,articles,andsoon.Inthefollowingchaptersweshallconsiderthemostimportanttypes,startingwithunnecessarynounsandverbs,whichoftengohandinhand.

I.UnnecessaryNounsandVerbs

Nouns

MostunnecessarynounsinChinglishappearnotalonebutinshortphrases,combinedwitharticlesandprepositions.Whenyoueliminatethenouns,youeliminatethearticlesandprepositionsaswell.

Manyofthesenounsareeasytorecognize.Theyareplainlyredundantbecausetheirsenseisalreadyincludedorimpliedinsomeotherelementofthesentence.Hereareafewexamples（A）withsuggestedrevisions（B）andcommentsinbrackets.
