Accordingtorecords,human’suseofsolarenergyhas3,000yearsofhistory,butsolarenergyasanenergyandpowersourcehasonly300yearsofhistory.Historically,the20thcenturyscientificandtechnologicaldevelopmentofsolarenergyisstillbetterthananypreviouscentury.

During1900-1965,thefocusoftheworld'

ssolarenergyresearchwasstillconcentrateoninventingasolarpowerplant.20yearsafterWorldWarII,somefar-sightedpeoplenoticedthatoilandgasresourceswerebeingrapidlyreducedandtheypromotedpublicawarenessofthisissue,whichgraduallypromotedtherecoveryofsolarenergyresearchandimplementation.
