Butnow,whenZeushadheadeduphisownstrength,seizinghisweapons,thunder,lightning,andthegloweringthunderbolt,hemadealeapfromOlympos,andstruck,settingfiretoallthosewonderfulheadssetaboutonthedreadedmonster.Then,whenZeushadputhimdownwithhisstrokes,Typhoeuscrashed,crippled,andthegiganticearthgroanedbeneathhim,andtheflamefromthegreatlordsothunder-smittenranoutalongthedarkeningandsteepforestsofthemountainsashewasstruck,andagreatpartofthegiganticearthburnedinthewonderfulwindofhisheat,andmelted,astinmeltsintheheatofthecarefullygroovedcruciblewhencraftsmenworkit,orasiron,thoughthatisthestrongestsubstance,meltsunderstressofblazingfireinthemountainforestsworkedbyhandicraftofHephaistosinsidethedivineearth.Soearthmeltedintheflashoftheblazingfire;
