Traditionally,BoxingDayisadaywhenfamiliesgettogether.Itisadayofwatchingsportsgameswithfamily.Inthepast,huntingwasoneofthefavoriteactivitiesonthisday.Peopleusuallywenthuntingforwrensorfoxes.Today,BoxingDayisspentwithfamilyandfriendswithlotsoffoodandsharingoffriendshipandlove.Governmentbuildingsandsmallbusinessesareclosedbutthemallsareopen.ShoppingisapopularBoxingDayactivity,andthemallsareusuallyfilledwithbargains.Besidestheseactivities,manybusinesses,organizations,andfamiliestrytokeepthetraditionalspiritofBoxingDayalivebydonatingtheirtime,services,andmoneytoaidFoodBanks,providinggiftsforthepoor,orhelpinganindividualfamilythatisinneed.BoxingDayhasmainlybecomeanextensionoftheChristmasholiday,givingworkingfamiliesonemoredayasthehappytimeofayear.

Toreducefoodwasteisabigtask,anditneedstime.Thereare925millionhungrypeopleintheworld.Theydon’thaveenoughfoodtoeat.Andfarmersworkveryhardtogrowthecrops.Soweshouldn’twasteourfood.Itisalsoimportantthateveryonethinksabouthowtheycandotheirbittoreducefoodwaste.RecentlyacampaignagainstfoodwastelaunchedonlineinChinamightmakeyouthinktwiceaboutbeingsowasteful.
