However,myparentsthinkdifferent.Theydon’twantmegoout.TheyareafraidI’llbeknockeddownbyatruck,fallenoffatree,orfightwithothers.Besides,theyareafraidIwilllosemyway.Ihatebeingtreatedlikeabirdkeepinginacage.Togetmorefreedom,soIwilltrytopersuadethem.

OnSaturdayafternoon,LiHuaandWangPing,membersfrom“GreenEyes”,washavinganenvironmentalprotectionactivityneartheriversidewhentheycatchsightofabirdontheground.Theypickeditoutandfounditwounded.Thinkingitshoulddiewithouttimelyhelp,theytookithome.Undertheirtreatmentandcare,theluckybirdgotrecoveredsoon.Whentimecameforthemtoflythebird,theyfeltabitofpitybutverydelightfulIthinkit’sworthwhileforhimtodosuchathing.HereIcallonthepublictoshowrespectsforthenature.Onlybychangingthewaywhichwetreattheenvironmentcanwegetalongwellwithit.

ThedayismyDad’sbirthday.ThisafternoonIwenttotheshoppingcenterdowntown,andboughtpresentforhim.ThenItookthesubwaytraintohome.Sittingonthetrain,Ithoughtmydadwillbeveryhappywhenshesawthepresent.Atthenextstation,anoldladywithtwoheavybaggotintothetrainandstoodinfrontofme.Shelookedtiring.Ihesitatedforamoment,andthenofferedmyseattoher.Theoldladythankedmealotandsatdown.Seenhersmile,Ifelthappily.Iwillalwaysreadytohelpothersinthefuture.

IjustcomebackfromBritainlastweek.IwasluckilyenoughtobeoneofthestudentfromdifferentcountriestovisittheUKfromFeb.16to28.Wepaidavisittomanyplaces,likeLondon,OxfordortheLakeDistrict.IlearnedmuchaboutBritishcultureandhistoryinLondon,wherewasmyfavorite.IalsolikedOxford,inwhichIsawmuchmoreoldbuildings.TheLakeDistrictwasbeautiful,butitwaspitythatitrainedheavilywhentheywerethere.ThemostexcitedthingformeintheBritainwasthatImadealotoffriendsthere.
