Tradefairobjectivesshouldbedecidedduringthemedium-termcorporateplanningandshouldhaveclearbusinessandmarketingobjectives.Tradefairsasmultifunctionaldialogueinstrumentsmakeitpossibletofocusoncommunicationobjectives.However,itisnecessarytoformulateobjectivesclearlysothatsuccesscanbemeasured(e.g.sales,numberofcontacts,numberofpotentialcustomersindentified,numberofnewcustomersacquired,levelofcommunicationachieved).

GeneralinformationabouttradefairsaswellasexhibitionscanbeobtainedviatheInternet.First-timeexhibitorsshouldselectcarefullyfromthewiderangeofinternationaltradefairsandregionalexhibitions.

Registration
Manytradefairsarebookedquitequickly.Anearlyregistrationisthereforeadvisable.
Sinceanindicationofthespacerequiredisnecessaryforregistration,aroughdesignforthestandshouldbepreoaredahead.
