”sheasked.Hetoldhisplan.Hisauntlaughedandsaid,“Welldone!
Ihopeyou’llsucceed.”
Aftermuchwork,theysucceededinmakingtwopaddlewheels.Theywereveryrough,butstrongandusable.Theyfixedeachofthesewheelstotheendofanironrod(长杆)whichtheypassedthroughtheboatfromsidetoside.Therodwasbentinthemiddle.Whentheworkwasfinished,theoldfishingboatlookedratherstrange,withapaddlewheeloneachside.Theboyslostnotimeintryingit.Oneoftheboyscouldguidetheboatwhiletheotherturnedthepaddlewheels.
