COURSEDESCRIPTIONANDGOALS:
ThiscourseisdesignedasanintroductionandoverviewoftherapidlyexpandingfieldofResearchMethodinEducation,andisintendedforseniorswhoareexpectedtohaveinterestsinunderstandingtechniqueineducation.Theextentandtypeofresearchrequiredinundergraduateprogramsineducationvaryincountriesworldwide.However,inpracticallyallsuchprograms,therearesomeresearchrequirement,includingparticipationinresearchactivities,forthesuccessfulcompletionoftheprogram.Therefore,aknowledgeofresearchmethods,oratleastofbasicconceptsofresearchmethods,isnotonlyuseful,butessential.Muchoftheprofessionaleducationliteratureaddressesresearchresults.Educatorshouldbefamiliarwiththeresearchresultsintheirspecialtyareas.
COURSEEXAMINATIONGOAL
Accordingtothedifficultleveloftest,theexaminationgoalsofknowledgearedividedintofouraspects:
A.Memory:
Somebasicprofessionalconceptsshouldbelearnedbystudents’hearts.
B.Understanding:
Someresearchproceduresandtechniquesshouldbegraspedbythestudentsskillfully.
C.Application:
Studentscouldlearntheproceduresofsomeresearchtypes,suchassurveyresearch,quasi-experimentresearchetc.andcoulddesignsomeresearchaccordingtoeverybody’sinterests.
D.Analysis:
Studentsmustanalyzesomeresearchstatement,revieweducationalliterature,andevaluatethedesignetc
