Withthepopularityofcomputer,electronicpenasemerginghuman-computerinteractiontoolsisdevelopingrapidly.Indomestic,hanwanghandwritingrecognitionincompanyhasbeenintheleadingposition,leadingthedevelopmentofdomesticelectronicpen.Abroadwillbehandwritingandofficesoftware,establishedtheconceptofdigitalink.InJune2001,Ericssonannouncedtheworld'sfirstdigitalpen-Chat2penCHA-30.ThisproductmakefulluseoftheBluetooth(Bluetooth)technologyandGPRSwirelessnetwork,thetransmissioncanbehandwrittentextandinteractivecommunicationwithmobilephones,computersandtheInternet.Althoughitsappearanceandwritingwayisthesameasanormalpen,butChatpencanuseaprintedonordinarypaperalmostcan'tseethepointmode"read"outofitsplace.TheseinformationandGPRSmobilephoneviabluetooth,theconsumercanalsodigitallywrittenonthepaper.UserswillfindthemselvesnolongerlimitedtotextbasedshortmessageorE-mail,aslongasyouuseChatpencanthroughthemobilephone,PCorPDA(PDA)atanytimesendahandwrittennote.Draworwritedownanythingcanimmediatelytransfer,informationprocessingbecomesmorepersonal,andbecauseoftheneedforinputofthelettersthatgreatlysimplifiestheprocessofsendingtextmessages.
Asthekeytechnologybehindtheelectronicpen,handwritingrecognitionhasbeenafocusinthestudyofpeople.Overall,theelectronicpenaccordingtothedifferentwayofpositioningcanbedividedintofourcategories:
orientationofrf,imagerecognition,pressureandaccelerationpositioning.Rfpositioningtypeelectronicpenneedtobeplacedonorneartheplaneofwritingboardsonicgenerator,thegeneratorofultrasonicdobrushstrokesofthreedimensionalpositioning,highprecisionbutcomplexstructureandalgorithm.Imagerecognitiontypeelectronicpenusingimagerecognitionalgorithminwrittenpartoftheminiaturecamerascanninghandwriting,handwritingisthemostclosetotheoriginaltrack.YaGanXingbentintoapressureplateelectronicpenhavetofeelthetippressurerecoveryofthenote.Accelerationtypeelectronicpenkinematicsalgorithm,andthroughtheaccelerationofthemotiontrajectoryofthetip,achievecanhandwritinghandwritinganalysisalgorithmcombiningwithrepetition,simplestructure,easytoimplement.Butbecauseoftherestrictionofthesensorresolution,therehasbeennosuchmatureproductsonthemarket.
ThisschemeUSESfreescalesemiconductorMMA7260Qtriaxiallowlevelaccelerationsensorhasrealizedthespatiallocalizationofbrushstrokes.WirelessUSBdeviceprovideselectronicpenwithplugandplayconnection.Thiselectronicpentouse2.4GHzradiofrequencyofCypressCYRF6934SoCasawirelessUSBtransceiverdevices,aslongastheCypressEncore2wirelessUSBinthePCBridgesconnectedtotheUSBportofPC,electronicpenforone-waydatatransmissiontothePC.
1thehardwareprogrammingInthisdesign,usingMMA7260QmeasuringelectronicpenX,Y,Zthreeaxisacceleration,makesoftwareinreal-timecomputingthepositionofthepen,andthengeneratethehandwriting.
MicrocontrollersADuC7022collectedaccelerationsensoroutputsignal,usingtheon-chipADCconversionandthevoltagesignaltotheaccelerationdatasignalandprocessing,finallythroughtheSPIinterfaceissenttothewirelessUSBinterfacechipCYRF6934,totransferdatatoPCforreprocessing.
SystemUSEShigh-energylithiumbatterypowersupply.Asmuchaspossibleinordertoobtainlongbatterylife,allchipsworkat3.3Vvoltage,toreducetheswitchingloss;Detectedinthemicro-controllerelectronicpeninastationarystate,microcontrollersoftwarewillmakethewirelessUSBinterfacechipintothesleepstate,furtherreducingpowerconsumption.

(1),thevoltagecomparator,62kbytesFlashROMandeightkbytessram,maximumhandlingcapacityof40MIPS.Itsanalogperipheralsincludingupto10samplingrateis1channelmultisidedplatforms,resolutionof12bitprecisionanalog-to-digitalconverter(ADC),aWenPiaobetterthan10PPM/℃precisionbandgapvoltagereferencesource.Otherperipheralsincludingon-chipprogrammablelogicarray(PLA),suchassynchronous,asynchronousserialinterface.Theon-chipPLLcircuitallowstheuseoflowerexternalcrystalvibrationfrequency,soastoreducetheEMIofthesystem.SerialinterfaceincludesUART,SPIandI2C2,isusedtodownload/debugtheJTAGport,4timer,14generalI/Opins.CPUclockisashighas45MHZcrystaloscillatorandpillswithinthePLL.
ADuC7022workin2.7V~3.6V,workingatthehighestfrequencyof41.78MHzconsumesonly40macurrent.Moreover,ADuC702240feet6mmx6mmLFCSPencapsulationcansignificantlydecreasethesizeofPCB,sothatitisbetterthanmostofthesinglechipmicrocomputerissuitableforthevolumeandpowerconsumptionrequirementsmorestringentsystem.
Inthisdesign,ADuC7022ADCworkinsingle-endedmode,ADC0~ADC2isconnectedtotheADCmoduleMMA7260Qtriaxialaccelerationoutputpin,ADC2isconnectedtothebatterypositiveelectrode,monitoringtheinputbatteryvoltage,thebatteryvoltageisreducedtoclosetothe"minimuminputvoltageafterlitLEDtoreminduserstochangethebattery.MicrocontrollerP0.0andP0.1feetconnecttoMMA7260QSEL1andSEL2pins,asacontrolsignalofaccelerationsensitivity.
ADuC7022providesSPIserialinterface,UART,theI2Cinterface.ADuC7022I/Oportsforthereuseofinterface,theuserbysettingtheSPMmoduleintheGPIOcontrolregister,UART,UART/SPI,I2Candprogrammablelogicarraystomakeachoice.Inthispaper,thehardwareUSESaworkinMastermodeofSPImodule,connecttothewirelessUSBmodule.Theprinciplediagramofthemicrocontrollerasshowninfigure1.
3accelerationsensorsMMA7260Qfreescalesemiconductorisintroducedtypesinglechipthree-axislowlevelaccelerationsensor,canaccuratelymeasuretheX,Y,Zthreedirectionsandlowlevelofdecline,tilt,displacementandpositioning,theimpactandvibrationerror.ByselectingMMA7260Qsensitivity,canaccordingto1.5g,2g,4gand6gofdifferentorderofmagnitude(g)thesensitivityofaccelerationofgravityfordesign.MA7260QusingMEMStechnologytomake,in6mmx6mmx1.45mmvolumeintegratedaccelerationsensorandthelow-passfilterandtemperaturecompensationofsignaldisposalcircuit,andpresetthefullrange0gbias.Thepackagingsizeisverysmall,justsmallboardspace.Moreover,MMA7260Qcanrunat2.2V~3.6Vlowvoltage,workconsumesonly500?
ZiAcurrentandisconfiguredwith3muAsleepmodeand1.0mspowerresponsequickly,italsoprovidesAquickstartandsleepmode.Thesefeaturesgreatlyextendtheelectronicpenbatterylifeandreserveenoughspacetotheappearancedesign.

4wirelessUSBCYRF6934isCypresssemiconductorrfSoC2.4GHzwirelessUSBnetworktransceiverdevices.Thewirelesstransceiverworkingwithin2.4~2.483GHzISMpublicspace,breakingthe27MHZ,400MHZand900MHZsystemhasmanylimitations,allowinguserstospreadallovertheworlduseitssolution,withoutboundbyregionalfrequencyrequirements,thushastheglobaluniversality,reasonablepowerspecificationsandhighercommunicationbandwidth.UsingDSSStechnology,CYRF6934canavoidfromsuchas2.4GHzfrequencybandof802.11b,Bluetooth(Bluetooth)signalinterferenceandothersystems,andwirelessfromcordlessphonesandmicrowavesradiation;CYRF6934workingvoltagerangeof1.8~3.6V,theeffectiverangeof10meters;Configurationof62.5KBPSdatathroughputandupto2MHZtransmissionfrequencyoftheSPImicrocomputerinterfacecommunicationwiththemicrocontroller,canachieve62.5KBPSrateistwo-wayorone-wayRFtransmission,averagelatencylessthan10ms.CYRF69withoutdatatransmission.
