internationalhigh-techbusinesses,departmentstores,artgalleries,clubsandafive-starhotel.Unlikethegloomy
economiesoftheUnitedStates,EuropeandJapan,Chinaenjoysastronggrowthwithbrighterprospects,Takeuchi

MorecapitalandbusinessesareexpectedtoflowintoShanghai,whichaimstobecomeaworldcentrefortrade
andthefinancialindustry—withLujiazuiasitsshowpiece.
