1.Abstract
ThisImplementationAgreement(IA)specifiesasmallcommonsetofClassesofService(CoS)thatcanbeusedbyOperators,ServiceProvidersandtheirSubscriberstoindicatetheperformanceexpectationstobeassociatedwithagivensetofframes.ThiscommonsetofCoSisenvisionedasasubsetoftheCoSanOperatormayprovide.TheMEFCoSIAwillfacilitate:
EthernetserviceinteroperabilityandconsistencybetweenOperators,acommonCoSsetforSubscriberstoutilizeandsupportofkeyapplications.
2.Terminology
Thissectiondefinesthetermsusedinthisdocument.Inmanycases,thenormativedefinitionstotermsarefoundinotherdocuments.Inthesecases,thethirdcolumnisusedtoprovidethereferencethatiscontrolling.Incasesofconflictwithotherdocuments,thecontrollingdocumentisshowninthereferencecolumn.
