ThistextisanabridgementtakenfromTIMEOct1,2006.ItisoriginallyaninterviewconductedbyBillSaporitowithSandyWeill,theformerCitigroup（美国花旗银行集团）chairman.SandyWeillwasaWallStreetupstartfromBrooklyn50yearsago.Sincethen,hegotrichandfamous,buildinganempirethatculminatedwiththeTravelers-Citicorpmergerin1998.IntheprocesshewalkedawayonceandbustedupwithfriendslikeJamieDimon.Weill,73,haswrittenTheRealDeal,onhisdealmakingandhowthingscouldhavegonesmoother.Intheinterview,hespokewithBillaboutmendingfencesandhowtokeepmarriagesstrong.
