连词用来连接词,短语,从句或句子,使一种虚词,不能单独做句子成分,连词可以使句子与句子联系比较紧凑,因而是上下文连贯。
However,although,but,while都可以表示转折关系,但它们的词性用法各有不同。
1.Howeveradv“可是,不过,然而” however比but词义还要弱些,并不直接引出相反的意见,因此常做插入语(however可以放在句首句末句中,但是必须用逗号分开)
2.But“但是” but引出微弱的相反的意见,使口语中的常用语
3.although”虽然,尽管” although,though 大致相同,口语中,though比较常用。
although用语陈述事实,常放在句首,不能用于句末,可引导状语从句,而though可以当副词置于句尾。
4.while“但,确,然而” 表示对比或相反的情况,可作连词引导状语从句
