IntheTangDynastyscholarshadtobepoets.Theirreaderswerenotonlypeopleofhighsocialpositionbutalsocommonpeople.Poetsrecitedpoems;womensingerssangpoemsandotherranksofpeople,includingoldwomenandchildren,readTangpoems.Thisatmosphereaffectedforeignerswhovisitedthecountryatthattime.Asaresult,Tangpoetrywasintroducedtosomeadjacentcountries,likeJapanandVietnam.
