General
1.1Inroduction
ThisDesignBriefgivesguidanceformodelingandanalysisofsubseainstallations,inparticularforliftingoperationsofsubseafacilitiesincludingliftingoffbargedeck,liftingthroughwavezone,loweringthroughdeepwatercolumn,andlandingonseabedwithintargetbox,etc.Thesubseafacilitiesincludealltypesofsubseaprocessingsystems,manifolds,PLEMs,PLETs,UTAs,jumpers,flyingleads,etc.
ThedesignenvironmentisbasedontheLiwan3-1Areawhichcoversapproximately3,965squarekilometersandislocatedwithinBlock29/26ofthePearlRiverMouthBasinandnearbyprospectsoftheSouthChinaSea,approximately340kmtothesoutheastofHongKongandatawaterdepthofapproximately1,500m.
1.2Objective
TheobjectiveofthisDesignBriefistoprovidemodelingandanalysismethodsforestablishingdesignloadsandanalysisprocedures,aswellasspecifyingtheenvironmentalcriteria,tobeusedforplanningandexecutionofsubseainstallations.
