"Allthetimesthatanincumbent[candidate]willrunyouusuallyhavetorunonyourrecordandhis[PresidentObama's]recordisnotgoodinmyeyesbutyouknowIamjustoneperson,"Allensaid.
Despiteafewreservations,politicalanalystDavidBositisoftheJointCenterforPoliticalandEconomicStudiespredictsavastmajorityofAfricanAmericanswillendupsupportingObamaoverRomney.
"InadditiontosupportforPresidentObamaamongblacksthereisadefinitefearofwhatthealternativeRepublicanPartyagendarepresents,"Bositissaid.
OtherpoliticalanalystssayifPresidentObamaistorecapturetheWhiteHousehiscampaignwillagainneedastrongshowingatthepollsinAfrican-Americancommunities,especiallyinbattlegroundstatesthatcoulddeterminetheoutcomeoftheelection.
